dono if it's any any use to you J-Pax but i got bored and made a very basic dmg/shot spreadsheet to calc dmg/shot based on base wep dmg and the +dmg mods. will eventually use your RoF numbers and the RoF mods to figure in the DPS and such (with proper crediting to you for them) and then clean up the front end of it, was mostly just born from a "i wonder how much my snipetron does per shot with these mods" and grew into a cure for boredom while my net was out. need to save a copy to actually use the drop down's for values but never really intended it for public use in this form so w/e.

Good shout. I'm actually in the process of working on optimal mod builds for weapons including a field for average damage per shot, however with the recent change in polarity slotting and the customizing there of, it's going to be a little more difficult. I may write up a text version there rather than make...8 more pages for each enemy type. Maybe though. If you want a hand with anything, and likewise if I want a hand, feel free to contact me on here via PM or in-game.

hmm seems funky, did u take into account that Burston is a burts firing wepon? cous it looks like you didnt multyply its DPS by 3. . . .

It's been questioned before - the Burston takes the 3 round burst into account in regards to it's fire rate. Try it out, you'll see you do not fire 3.3 bursts in a second.

Any progress on the new weapons? I'm curious about Prova and Orthos.

Sadly I can barely progress with my spreadsheet. I'm not a data miner unfortunately and I won't pull numbers from the wiki without having them verified yet, that and weapons sometimes behave differently in actual game play than the standard calculations allow for.

Click on ur actual weapon image on the arsenal page and it should be able to allow you to switch whichever melee you have available. Works the same way with ur other weapons (primary, sentinal, 2ndary)

Thanks for the spreadsheets J-Pax. Just have a question.

Is there's some reason I'm missing that you don't have Flechette slotted in for the shotguns as part of the optimal mod set up?

It is included, I just forgot to add it into the mod notes - thanks for noticing x)

i hope considering of Fire rate loss of non-automatic fire

firing non-automatic way loses fire rate despite enough click speed and FPS

it means non-automatic weapon - such as Latron

loses some amount of dps in calcaultion

Formula: dps of damage*firerate

Braton : damage * firerate

Latron : damage * firerate * k ( k < 1)

to verify this effect, shoot low firerate automatic-weapon

throught macro and non-macro ( ex> despair )

Hello hope all is well,  keep up the good job still  loving the game and supporting it dont know how much I spent but it's well over the 100.00's : )

Well I looked through the forums and I guess this is probably the best forum to talk about weapons

" Will we  be able to Dual wield the Dark Blades or Dual wield the Dark Daggers anytime soon?"

I dont want to just throw them out but they are taking up inventory space. Maybe a lil insight would help ....lol

Thanks again : )

Probably™. Don't quote me on that, I'm not a developer :P

It'll probably be implemented eventually, and if it's anything like the Akbolto blueprint (if that's how you're going to get them) you'll likely need two of the suckers to craft a dual version. In all honesty that question would be better in the game play suggestions/discussions. The dev's are pretty hot on pulling good ideas out of the community feedback.

Agreed, although this is just simply the ceiling of dps you could achieve. If I was going to include that then accuracy would need to be taken into account too.

dps*average accuracy %.

The more variables you'll add the better it will be.

Once you extend beyond DPS, you'll find that many variables are either irrelevant or incomparable.

Even if you could abstractly reduce such factors to a number, the result wouldn't have any tangible relevance.  Imagine trying to explain how '52.06 hypothetical average damage/hit/second/bullet/ammo/headshot%/averageenemy/playerfactor' is relevant to hammering Phorid at point blank, or enduring a T3 void mission, or making it to wave 100 on a defense mission.

Then it would come down to probabilities and personally I would just lurve that.

In all seriousness though, accounting for the average weapon specific accuracy (user input) would give a much better idea of what you really could be doing.

Grakata with 100% accuracy vs. more realistic 40%. Means a world of difference.

I guess so, yeah. I love my statistics. It seems someone's already beaten me to it with an app though!

Mind you, this gives you somewhere to weigh up weapons as well on a spreadsheet. I'll soon implement enemy types and mod power calculations...one day....

The app's mine ;D

But yeah if you find any discrepancies between our 2 methods, then let me know, and we'll fix whoever's is wrong :)
