Darzk
I'm curious if its a 90% chance to fire an extra bullet/arrow, or 9 extra bullets/arrows in a row then a normal shot.
Gregio
It's a 90% chance to fire two shots for one, essentially doubling your damage 9/10 shots.
Darzk
So it's entirely random when the undoubled shot comes? Damn :(
crow-k
yes, but at 90% its more like its random when it will not happen. 1/10 shots will deal less damage.
MetalGerbil
it is random but its very reliable. rarely do you only shoot ones. ..... 10% of the time in fact >_>
Blazer-X
I read somewhere that it is literally programmed to shoot 9 shots of double shot and 1 shot of single shot when the chances are 90%, rather than randomly shooting double shot 90% of the time. Is this true? Or completely wrong?

Blazer-X
So that only applies to shotguns? Bummer.
SmokeBraid
Multishot is additive, not random. But you can't fire part of a bullet/pellet, so its saved for the next shot.
TehJumpingJawa
Multishot is additive, not random. But you can't fire part of a bullet/pellet, so its saved for the next shot. I thought this too. However after testing it I found it not to be the case. Test it for yourself; part-projectiles are not handled in a deterministic fashion (rollover). They're probably a weighted random. (0.2 of a projectile - > 20% chance to proc.) Edited May 7, 2013 by TehJumpingJawa
