The dev post only says that the prime/wraith/vandal/whatever version won't stay the same like in pve, not that they will be worser than their normal versions.

 

That dev post isn't saying that they'll be worse...

It's saying pick weapons you are comfortable with as they reserve the right to nerf outliers.

 

It's a wise route to take too...

 

For example: The only differences between a Boar and Boar Prime in pvp should be cosmetic.

 

The best PvP setups offer relative balance in everything and leave tactics, strategy, and skill as the deciding factors in engagements.

 

Don't worry too much about the weapon thing...

 

Like Aggh said, some version of each of the weapons will be relatively easy to acquire.

I'm still on for the idea of PVE and PVP using the same stats that promote proper gameplay instead of thousands of damage, bulletsponge enemies, gigantic crowds etc. Let's leave such stuff for Left4Dead and the like...

A jump height mod would be cool, oh and like if you ever play dark souls that wrath of god miracle from it would be cool on like rhinos augment like it does that constantly while burning 10 of his armor a second, and like give nekros like a bow that goes into his gear and if he gets a kill with it they are put into his ultimate instead of just the last kills.
