Weapon Switch Times

Don't know if this has been touched on before, but...

 

Are all the switch times between primaries and secondaries the same? And if so, does anyone else feel like we should be able to draw pistols faster?

i always considered side arms to be a quick switch when your our of ammo on your main weapon, as such i do feel it should be faster because often switching is slower than just reloading.

Personally I think the switch times are fine but maybe throw in a cheap mod to fix that if need be. But seriously you'd have to be pretty strong to put a machine gun such as the Gorgon on your back then switch to your pistol in a matter of 1 second.

We are space ninjas. We can pull that off.

 

The weapon switch time is more about build diversity. Right now there is not much point in choosing your primary and secondary to complement each other due to the long switching times. With shorter switching times, you could choose e.g. a mass damage primary like the braton and an armor ignoring secondary like the akbolto or vice versa (boltor + kraken).

 

Right now, using the not optimal weapon to kill of a specific enemy is faster than switching weapons. Especially against infested.

Would be a nice mod. I always thought it took way too long to pull out my pistol after I was done using melee.

You do it pretty fast with a long sword or an axe though. :(

I think the weapon switch is ever so slightly too slow.  It also seems to be REALLY badly affected if you have the slightest bit of lag.

 

I would go for a 10% increase in switch time but nothing more than that.  It;s not a game breaker by any means.
