Regarding The Master Rank Founder's Pack

Having greatly enjoyed this game, I have decided that I will put some money into it. Now, I've been thinking about the founder's packs, and the Master rank has caught my attention.

 

See, what I'm curious about is exactly what being a member of the Design Council entails. My current major is Video Game Design, so of course I was wondering whether it would be useful for me to be to be a part of the design council, so I can get a look at how things work. At the same time I don't know exactly how involved I would actually be, and whether the experience would actually be useful for me in the future.

 

My other question is how long the Founder's Packs will remain available. Spending a hundred dollars on a video game isn't something I'm just going to do on a whim, and I want to make sure I have plenty of time to figure out whether or not it is worth that much.

 

I understand that some of the things that go on in the Design Council you may not be able to talk about to people outside of it, but I'm curious about it non-the-less.

If you are in the desing council you will also get sneak peaks and previeuws in the upcoming updates.

Council is usually where developers give sneak peeks and allow us to poll, suggest, and vote on upcoming mods and entity names. It cannot have threads made in it by users, so most discussion is started by DE. As for the availability of the package, there is no current announced end date but try to make a decision before July-ish.

Design Council is a forum area where DE let the Master/Grand Master Founders vote on upcoming items (Mods, Frames, Weapon, etc.) and come up with some of their own ideas from time to time (The recent mod votes came from multiple players with ideas [Talking about mods that were talked about in Livestream involving the 'Red Containers being opened [Warframe]', 'Melee Range extended [Melee]', and 'Protection Dome made when reviving a Player [sentinel]'.

The name for Sayrn was also player made... even though the design was made from DE. I think in the future (if lucky) they might have contests to see if they'll use one of the Founder designs for future weapons/frames/sentinels (etc.) but that's just a little guess.

 

One other feature they get is to see upcoming things such as the Dojo before other players do... a few negativity though because of the 'Hardcore'  PvE fans, but I honestly didn't care that much. I did suggest it once but didn't think anyone would go with it lol (the 1v1 sparing).

 

If you go with Master, you'll get enough Plat for a few bundles and left overs for slots. (Recommend slots for later since no telling how many frames are going to be made)

Also, it shows how much you support the game :P

So no one's mentioned it, but a really cool benefit is the council chat, which you can participate in even while in missions, and usually contains less immature BS than region chat - but not always :D

 

And dev's will occasionally pop in and ask and answer questions.

 

No idea about the deadline, but I really hope they give us some warning and it would make sense for them to do so. Plenty of people, myself included, are waiting for the announced end of the founder's program before deciding to make the final (or initial) step.

How could I forget the council chat? Some of my best laughs while playing have come from there. I remember when we were discussing elevator music and grineer DJs (am I allowed to talk about what goes on in there?) but we had some pretty fun DJ names for them :)

The chat tab says "Council", so I would assume it is council only.

I do not regret upgrading from Hunter to Master.

I might upgrade to Grand Master, but I dunno. We will see when the deadline is.
