Epicfacepalm
Both Warframes are a great choice. My personal preference for pure fun is the excalibur.'Super Jump' when maxed out combined with other warframe support mods send you flying into air giving you the chance for an overtop ground slam. But the Rhino frame is great for up close and personal encounters, surrounded by infested ancients? no worries, pop Iron Skin and giggle while everything dies around you :).Good Luck, Have Fun! :)
Kisho3
Not having played the Rhino I can't speak to it's level of fun, but I do love my Excalibur, Slash Dash makes short work of most baddies!
Enomilli
Thank you very much! I'll give Excalibur a shot for the fun factor!
Dex314
I started with Excalibur and it's still my favorite frame. If you level up your power range and the radial javelin, you can clear entire rooms (and their adjacent hallways) so you'll never be stuck in a bind. I don't even equip the other powers so as to give my frame more points for other mods. The only thing is you have to watch out for those disrupters. Nasty little guys. CadenFall
Both have Slash Dash for starters. Then Rhino's Iron Skin seems to be better than Excalibur's Radial Blind, and more fun. Excalibur's jump isn't really useful in most cases but his radial blast is pretty sweet. Rhino's Radial blast seems a bit lack luster and Rhino stop is for some cool effects and can immobilize bosses. I just feel like Rhino and Excalibur's moves are very similar but Rhino comes out on top for me.
OoKeNnEtHoO
I have both of them so I can help offer you some perspective. If you wanna play offensive, play Excalibur. His stats really aren't made for tanking or staying at one spot for too long unless you got really good weapons/enough energy. Basically, kill fast or be killed. He only has 2 offensive skills though. You will likely rely on Slash Dash a lot until you really get a hang of it and start experimenting with how the rest can help in killing your enemies. Slash Dash: Trash mobs-killer, escape mechanism Radial Blind: AOE crowd control, escape mechanism Super Jump: Mobility, escape mechanism Radial Javelin: AOE kill, Boss Killer (with Mag) If you prefer to play defensive and tank, play Rhino. His stats are good for survival. You don't really have to move around much. However, don't get overconfident either, he can still die. You got a choice between moving around or standing in a spot for some time. He only has 1 skill to tank and 3 skills to crowd control. I haven't experimented as much with Rhino since I didn't have to level him twice like in the case of Excalibur (Normal and Prime) but this is roughly what I know. Rhino Charge: Straight-line crowd control, escape mechanism Iron Skin: Tanking mechanism, escape mechanism Radial Blast: AOE crowd control, escape mechanism Radial Stomp: AOE crowd control, escape mechanism Edited May 10, 2013 by OoKeNnEtHoO
Phoenix86
I got both and, for sure, Excalibur it's more fun to play, faster & powerful in almost every mission. I personally use Rhino only in infested defenses and against bosses, Frost in corpus/grineer defenses, Excalibur for ALL THE REST

It gets beaten by the other frames in each specific department particularly tanking/defense but it really is a Jack-of-all- Trades.
FluffyBunnySlippers
I have both of them so I can help offer you some perspective. If you wanna play offensive, play Excalibur. ...snip.. If you prefer to play defensive and tank, play Rhino. ...snip... It's odd, I don't actually disagree with what you wrote...but at the same time I'm not so sure I fully agree either. Rhino can very easily be one of the most offensive frames going. Working on the principle that the best defense is a good offense, Rhino can just bulldoze through stuff that would put Excalibur in a very bad place. While his abilities are defensive in nature, they allow for very aggressive play if that's how you want to use him. It's mostly a matter of style I suppose. In a SHTF moment Excalibur has radial blind and jump to get out of trouble...Rhino pops Iron skin and shows trouble what it's like to get curb-stomped by an invulnerable axe-wielding juggernaut. Naturally there will always be those situations that are pushing it for any frame, where being able to get out and gain some distance is the only realistic answer, but Rhino tends to have fewer of these in my experience. Personally I find Rhino more fun to play simply because the whole "bull in a china shop" type of thing just amuses me no end :) It's hard to suggest what anyone will find more fun though, as fun is subjective and not that easy to quantify. Phoenix86
Let's say that Excalibur plays offensive AND fast while Rhino can play defensive AND offensive (but not as fast) :p

It's only because I did not take into consideration of mods, when I was giving my comment. I also did not take into consideration of weapons. This is because the OP wanted a choice between 2 frames so I felt it would be good if I were to simply compare them without the survivability mods (Redirection, Vitality, Fast Deflection, Steel Fiber) and modded weapons. The truth is every frame is more or less good in their own ways as long as you have the right mods and weapons to go along. In fact, I actually don't really feel much different when I'm playing, Excalibur, Volt, Rhino and Trinity. It only feels different when I play Ash but its probably because it doesn't complement my style of play. Therefore, what you wrote are correct. I'm a somewhat offensive-oriented player so I too use the Rhino in an offensive way. Edited May 10, 2013 by OoKeNnEtHoO
Question
Enomilli
My Trinity is almost done leveling up to 30 and soon I'm going to throw her away.
Which frame would be recommending for getting to level 30 next between these two?
Would either one of them be easier/funner?
What I'm looking for is diversity among skills since leveling Trinity was boring...
A palette cleanser would be nice.
