Jordan_McBeast
Personally, I am running a HD 7850, and drop to about 15-20 fps on the missions such as Kappa. Normally, this would seem ok since there are around 400 enemies at once, but it seems that no matter how powerful your GPU is, some parts of warframe just kill your PC. Some people with, lets say, a 5850, would run the game just as well. Even with all settings turned low, I get around 30 fps if not lower on these missions. I don't understand :S
Archistopheles
As a total computer idiot, my guess would be something concerning the host/player interaction. I've never slowed down playing solo.
CrazyCatLad
If you're solo, I have no idea. If coop, probably the host's fault. If you're host, I had no idea.
Zarkosan
i run warframe with a gforce 8800 GTX and got no problems on a high/medium mixed setting... only latency problems with bad hosts... but no fps breakdowns on certain mission types Edited May 9, 2013 by Zarkosan
El-Neko
Everyone gets framedrops on mobile defense missions like Kappa since they can spawn at fast rates.

Flaming_Snake
My GTX 670s in SLI should be able to handle most of what Warframe throws at me, except I too have suffered major FPS drops occasionally. The game isn't fully optimised yet, so it should get better with time.
ROOOCKS
Its probably your processor being overwhelmed by the amount of enemies that spawn in the map.

The game isn't fully optimised yet, so it should get better with time. Your 670 should run at a constant 60 no matter what. For example, Bf3. BF3, 64 man server, constant grenades, physics and advanced destruction, massive maps, and my game doesnt drop below 30 fps, EVER. I think the game simply needs to be optimised for specific GPUs
Ozarrk
I dont believe that a bad host would effect FPS but instead everything would just seem very laggy. What effects FPS is a trio of graphics card, processor, and ram. If you want to test and make sure it is in fact your FPS that is suffering instead of it just appearing laggy, go into the settings and turn everything down to the lowest possible setting and see if it improves. MoobsUK
My guess is a CPU optimisation issue rather than GPU. From playing PS2 the game is increasingly CPU intensive as the number of players in a "local" space increases. This game isn't particularly heavy on GPU. The mobile defense missions are a bit heavy on something though....I'm not going to disagree on that.
Slama
I usually seem to have latency issues on the mobile defense missions, unless I am mistaking one issue for another. I can move about freely, and I see other players move around, but the enemies 'skip' around the map and (when I can actually kill them) die standing up. BloodKitten
the amount of enemies aplly alot of pressure on your CPU, the more going on, the more your computer need to think, its not really a render issue, planetside 2 as another example, you will lag with alot of players on screen reguardless of you video card, CPU depended

BraveDude8
The problem that I have personally is the snowy effect. As soon as I step outside, 20FPS. Inside, solid 60FPS.

smithf
I think it is prob CPU limited issue too. Possibly also due to optimization problems. Could be related to threading/core-utilization as well. I encounter the prob even with 2 gfx cards (one is prob dedicated to phyx as I am not using them in SLI) I have a 3.6ghz quad core, it should not be struggling on a game like this :/ And, as stated below, I have no trouble on 64 man servers on BF3 No offence, but it is kind of pointless to compare different engines, let alone different games. And multi-core means nothing if the cores are not utilized. Think we should keep this within Warframe.

Blasio
If you're solo, I have no idea. If coop, probably the host's fault. If you're host, I had no idea. It interesting. I mostly run solo missions because the performance rate is dropping as more teammates are joining. With 1 its ok, with 2 its around 15-20 FPS and if the party is full I usually just colleting resources leaving the killstuff to the others :) Edited May 9, 2013 by Blasio
