_Rue_
Why Can't it be black?!?! T_T Please please please fix the color customizable areas for the frames and weapons. After buying Smoke, I have been choosing weapons based on how They match my theme vs stats. T_T

T-T took out color correction and it's still just gray Are you serious right now, "REAL BLACK". Now that is just whiny. The black is only a tiny bit darker. Man up. _Rue_
it doesn't look good. If I wanted that shade then I wouldn't have gotten smoke. >_> If you have any suggestions feel free to continue posting. Otherwise, go post somewhere else. I would like to get all the warframe color customization polished. What do you want? >_>
JoeyZero
IIRC, I was able to get mine straight black by messing with the color settings. The color correction was one setting that had a major effect, and I believe the other is dynamic lighting. I'll play with it and take a screenshot when I get home here in a little while.Honestly though, IRL black is a color that has the tendancy to absorb and reflect the colors around it. It's not that noticeable with a "flat" black with no specular on the material, but with the texture of the material (Obviously DE made these frames shiny), it's going to tint the spec whatever the color of the light around it is, especially with higher graphics settings where the lighting and materials are more detailed and "lifelike". I'll try to get a few screencaps from missions where the lighting is different to give examples. It's a pretty big difference between different areas.TLDR - It's likely not a problem with the colors that are applied from the color pack, but rather the underlying material that DE put on the frame itself. _Rue_
Thanks. Just what i needed. I'll go lay with the color some more. :) Hope DE fixes those then.
JoeyZero
So, it looks like you've got your brightness cranked up, which is what makes the black look grey. If you want it to be black, then you'll have to turn it back down. If you have trouble seeing in dark places... then, I guess that's the problem with wearing black in the dark. :PVolt with all black in different lights. These were taken with 50% (default) brightness, but the more you turn up the brightness, the more noticeable it'll be. And honestly, it's just there to make the graphics more lifelike... Because if you were wearing this IRL (I say that as though you could get an IRL warframe), you'd notice changes in the color of the light in the reflections on that way more. Also: Man up. I'm a lot more inclined to agree with the general direction that this post was going. I'd rather have the devs fixing bugs that affect gameplay or working on new content, rather than tweaking how the color packs are applied to Volt's pants. ^_^
zagibu
Also, somebody who wants to run around in such an ugly suit should get his eyes checked. It looks like the game was missing textures or something. They should just make it so that you can't choose the same color for two different slots, to prevent eye cancer.
Crewell
The Smoke palette probably has the darkest black the game can texture onto a frame without it having no color at all. Remember true black is not having color and without some color you will just be a black blob on the screen.
