"?" alerts

This has come up in a couple threads, but as far as I can tell, has not had it's own thread.

Alerts seem to be happening at the same time for everyone and giving the same rewards.

This is troubling largely because of catalysts and reactors. If they aren't being randomly awarded, it makes it look like DE is conciously controlling the release of reactors and catalysts. This makes the ability to earn them seem pretty meaningless since no matter how much people play, they'll only ever get the same rewards. It's to the point now where I'm just leaving warframe on so when I here the alert beep, I'll hop on to check if it's a "?", but why grind for resources to build the other frames (all I have left to build are loki/excalibur and ash) when I can't grind for reactors for them?

And this is just the most urgent issue in the pile of issues with the alert system. I know it's not a finished system, but the addition of randomness to the system does need to be prioritized.

Since it is also in the marketplace I wouldnt be against them giving out only one catalyst or reactor a week, adds longevity. There's a steam group http://steamcommunity.com/groups/WFAlerts that's if you have steam you can join where people throw up when ? alerts are popping up.

However much I hate RNG, because of my severe bad luck, it is needed for system like the alerts. Having the bonus reward happen for everyone at the same time is just fine, but having the same exact rewards for everyone is not. Needs to be changed.

ive done a few ? alerts since 5.3 but no orokin items yet.

does it have a certain minimum level of the mission or something? like, only ? alerts in pluto give them or something like that?

No it doesn't. It screws over people that can't be on at the exact time, makes the f2p system a lie, discourages people from grinding (which is the balance to the "free" cost in a f2p game) and slows progression to a halt if you aren't spending cash.
