RyojinOrion
Sorry guys, but we are still working on this one. Rest assured we are working on it though. Great to hear that the issue is being worked on. It has been an annoyance to me for quite some time now.
JonnyBagOfDonuts
I as well have this issue. I just purchased a brand new set of Bose PC speakers, which sound amazing, but I can not have my headset plugged in at the same time or Warframe will do odd things with the Audio, which usually results in being mute. Just thought I would add to the thread. I have to keep each device plugged in separately for them to work correctly. It is very annoying. Thank you for checking into it DE! Ampoth
Well this just got worse, I used to be able to switch sound devices outside of warframe, restart it and it would use the current default. But as of U18, I now cannot get warframe to recognize the default sound device, oh the launcher does, but now the actual game is stuck on my desktop speakers instead of my headset. I have the exact same problem. No headphones for me anymore. I use the motherboards built in realtek controller. Outputs are aptical for stereo, HDMI for surround and RCA for headphones and WF always uses the optical stereo one.
Impact6
I actually can now easily switch between sound setups. Have you guys checked the audio options?
Karies
I actually can now easily switch between sound setups. Have you guys checked the audio options? I have now. Worked fine. But still... why is not the default windows channel default in WF?
[DE]George
We just added the option to switch audio devices in Options->Audio. Not sure why the default did not apply to you Karies, but glad to hear it worked out.
faith_healer
Almost 9 months passed, topic was created when Update 16 just rolled out... Now it's Update 18 and still no proper fix for this problem... PS. I mean it's not changing output device automatically, only if you switch it in options and confirm...
