Will Conclave Pvp Slowly Toxify The Community

PVP in this game is hilarious at best. Its a novelty that will never be a serious distraction, no matter how hard the devs try.

It can't toxify the game as its toxic enough already, and far to few actually bother to give it much more than a passing thought.

*Just a heads up, this post is from a PvE player who has NOT played the PvP in this game due to most of the "horror" stories heard about it along with the many bad experiences had when playing PvP in other games.*

Depending on how the PvP is being handled now (with the changes that DE may have put in place) the PvP might not be as toxic as it used to be and possibly some of the toxicity towards it from some PvE players may have weakened in part of the updates. The only question I would have about the PvP in any game is "Are the (skills, characters, items, etc...) separate from the PvE experience?" I have seen and played a few games that went two different routes with the PvP and PvE.

On one hand, some games may have the same skills, armors, and characters BUT they have been tweaked for balance more than the PvE skills have been so their OP status is either balanced or voided. Most of the balancing done in said games tends to start in the PvP side and then slowly is added to PvE.

Then you have the few games that keep the same skills for both, yet either it leads to either overpowered, underpowered, or mixed bag setups that need to be tweaked in order for the majority to enjoy the game. Add to it if the "vocal" playerbase calls some classes overpowered, they might get nerfed into oblivion and with this type of game setup, it can lead to said classes to be forgotten and ostracized.

But, as for adding PvP to a PvE game causing the community to turn toxic, the answer is no. Like others have said before, the community was already toxic before PvP was added and even if it wasn't added, it will have still been toxic. PvP toxicity is just a symptom of the bigger problem which is the toxicity inside the gaming community as a whole. If all game companies and gamers who despise such toxicity were to unite and take a stand against it, it could be lowered (but sadly not stamped out entirely) to a point where it would only be hard to find or show up unless someone wanted to troll others.
