Question 2: When will we get proper fire and better fog? 2D fire renders stuck on sprites is really underwhelming... Question 3: When will the whole Kubrow system be polished!? Or Kukrowed 2.0ed? Question 4: When will the bosses in the game become and act like badass bosses? (the only epic boss is Lephantis, the rest are a bit meh atm) Question 5: Are we going to see the Orbiter anytime soon? Ordis just reminded me that its actually a thing, i'de like to check it out someday. Question 6: What is the reason behind the removal of Frost Prime, Latron and Reaper Prime from the Void? Question 7: Will the Infested ever be scary again like they were in the begining? Now they are just annoying! (sorry but its true) Question 8: Can we get a new Raid in U17... I would love to see my Liset with Arbiters of Hexis or Cephalon Suda skin jetting through space. 2) Any sort of daishō style dual-nikana in the works? I would love to be running around with a matched pair of dragon nikana even if they were slower and had less critical chance similar to Dakra Prime vs Dex Dakra. thoruk Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 (edited) I started reading the questions and comments form the community and the negativity and confrontational tone of most of them is frankly appauling. Show a little respect and appreciation for the developers that have brought you a free to play game, have bent over backwards to make it better or to meet the cries of the mewling masses (not that I neccessarily agree with all their decisions). That said, I had a few questions, largely on the theme of balance. At present, burst fire weapons are not particularly useful at endgame, since their damage output (sustained DPS) does not scale with RoF (Rate of Fire) increase mods in the same way as other "trigger type" weapons. Do you plan on buffing burst fire weapons' base stats to bring them nearer their superior brethren at end-game (implied catalyst and multi-forma build), or changing the way RoF mods affect burst weapons to scale more like other weapons? I understand the issue is that at present only the delay after each burst is affected by the RoF mods, not the duration of the bursts themselves. There are a number of semi automatic weapons (and possibly burst weapons) that when modded with RoF increase mods have a RoF that can be difficult to achieve without remapping primary fire to the scroll wheel, or using macros (neither of which I want to do). Are there any plans to allow players an option to use semiauto weapons in auto mode via a tickbox in the options menu, perhaps only once RoF exceeds a certain figure? I seem to recall thrown (secondary) weapons essentially went from semiauto to automatic at a certain patch, and there being some negative feedback at the time. Perhaps these weapons could be included if the menu toggle is used. The torrid and orgis have had had a facelift and the new models are great! The PvP team have also been hard at work balancing weapons for PvP. We've also recently seen an influx of new Waframe Ability Augments, but no Weapon Augments. It's a shame that all the old underpowered (read: "useless at endgame") and often beautiful weapons have not had any love. Are there plans to buff the aforementioned weapons (single pistols are a particularly frequent offender, with a few notable exceptions) after PvP is more complete (ie there is somewhere to draw from for balance changes), or releasing augments to make them more useful? I'd love to bring my Lex Prime, or Seer into a T4 Suvival game and not feel like I've simply brought an ornament with me. And lastly, ont he topic of AW: This is a contravertial mode, with a lot of older players only participating because they feel they must for the mastery exp. and completionism. My advice to a new player would be to ignore it wholesale, at least until they've mastered or grown bored of the main game. This is largely because there's an almost complete disconnect between AW and the core game. Waframe mods, abilities, weapons (and their mods), companions and the like are simply not used in AW. Similarly, AWs, mods, weapons are of no use at all in the core game. If the weapons and archwings didn't require the resources form the core game to craft, the two might as well exist as two standalone games. The only way I see myself becoming more enthusiastic about AW is closer intergration with the core gameplay. There needs to be a way of feeding progress in one mode into the other and vice versa. At the moment, AW is either a minigame or an almost entirely separate game from the core WF experience. Given that you are now working on the underwater mode, do you have any plans for more interactions between the modes - I dont mean simply mission types that may involve more than one gameplay type, but a way to bring progress fomr one mode into another, because without that I fear the AW and underwater gameplay modes will always remain insignificant minigames, polarising and alienating the community. Baewulfe Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 -How do you feel about the state that Limbo is currently in? -Do you feel that coptering in the conclave with weapons such as the Staves/Polearms, which have superb coptering ability, make the player with said weapon have an advantage over those without them?(Some people would rather use other melee weapons for fun though this seems impractical if they have the intention of winning.) -Can we have an ETA for the archwing's giant-space-infested-golem fight? -Will we have an option to turn gore back to the way it was before? -Do you plan on making the less desired weapons "end-game" material soon? Sorry if I sound rude at any point. I'm sure lots of people, including myself, absolutely appreciate the effort you're putting into an already amazing game, and we thank you for it! Cheers. Any mods that we get when crafting the kubrow or sentinel should be made an innate ability tied to level just like warframes. The sentinels even use orokin reactors just like warframes; so why should their abilities work differently? 2. Stances for arch melee weapons. Ootimas Posted April 9, 2015 Share Posted April 9, 2015 I know this has probably already been brought up, but i would like to ask if there is any chance that the mutalist nav coordinate drops for getting to mutalist alad v are going to be changed; the system seems fine for groups from what ive seen. but for solo players like me it takes forever to get these. in the last week alone i have only seen one coordinate invasion mission. which, was in the middle of the day so i could not get it. What I am referring to is the hand to hand combat you do during Escape/Recovery Missions when Harvester/Zanuka Hunter captures you. I simply find it odd how we know how to use all of these different weapons effortlessly, but cannot fight barehanded at all. Gray Fox said it best. "Good! Now we can fight as warriors! Hand to hand! We've been slowly given pieces of lore and overhauls of multiple combat/UI systems. As a 2-year-running player, I was wondering if warframe was ever going to remove the "beta" tag that it's lived with for so long. The frequent updates happen in other games(league) that are not listed as beta, and I know you guys avoid using it as an excuse for overhauls. what do you guys want to see out of this game before it's done? MR30 is a given, but for endgame, new user experience, etc. what do you want the players to see? TL;DR: What features will a finished warframe have in your opinion? Also, has there been any talk of a new game? I love this one to bits and no one should take this as me telling them to stop making warframe, but I would love to see something like an official dark sector 2? I loved dark sector and played almost the whole thing(Xbox fried). You guys have an amazing team and I'm sure no matter what you do, I will love the story of this universe(and any others you may make!)
