Hotfix 16.3.1 + 16.3.1.1 + Tactical Alert

So far all these higher than normal level (above 40) tac events have only worked to highlight ways to glitch the ai and just be enormous time sinks instead of having actual difficulty. Also tends to highlight how big the differences of usefulness between frames are. I don't consider that good gameplay, but perhaps it is helpful for improving things.

 

First and second level blackouts were ok because you could play them "fair".

 

All I did was stand on a waist high barrel that confused the little grineer.

Everyone's sitting here either complaining that it's too tough, or are asking for more of a challenge. I'm just sitting here enjoying the tac alert because it made me scared of the manics for once...

Love how people are saying how easy it was, but they were using the very frame I used to solo cheese escalation, or abusing MOAs.

 

Please, using loki to solo anything is far from difficult. Use a frame that can't carry itself, kay?

Actually loki isnt that ideal for soloing this alert. If you dont recast inv Immediately after it runs out, you'll die. Its far easier to use Slow Nova and Frost to solo. I just like my Loki Master Race :)

Actually, you didn't respond to their criticism.

 

Stating that Nova and Frost are marginally better against 75 Manics than Loki is not a counterargument to the statement that using Loki against Manics is not difficult. Both statements are mostly true. And if any frame messes up its core mechanic due to user error (no alternate targets managed with companion/Decoy/specter; and four revives to try anyway) against level 75 enemies with a quasi-instakill, it should be punished.

 

Loki remains S tier, but of course is immune to actual rebalancing while more enemies with annoying mechanics that punish non-invisible, non-invulnerable frames disproportionately keep getting added to the game to counter the player farming meta.

Third tier of the alert is either bug the AI or cheese it with cheap tricks... try using any skill to complete it? nah, have your free 1shot death... O you revived? well before you get up lets just lay you down again with another instant 1shot... GG #LokiMasterRace4ever

 

As for being constructive i feel the manics should be unable to use their stealth attack on a recently revived player for say... 5-10seconds? Would be fair since itll kill most warframes if they arent helped soon enough.

You do realize that Manics aren't supposed to spawn in large numbers so that was never a problem, right?  DE probably won't answer that request since it's only an alert.

DE1: "Hey people are finding the manic really irritating and unrewarding to fight."

DE2: "Yeah, let's make a mission with nothing but manics, but remove even what tiny chance they have of dropping the only mod people actually try to kill them for"

DE1: "Brilliant!"

That's exactly how they seem to design tactical alerts.

I love the cosmetic changes, especially now that Proto owners can finally use different helmets, but... for the love of all that is holy, can we PLEASE, finally get a fix for the glaring issue that's been covered by many people, many patches ago? I've circled the problem in red squares.

So DE, what I'm hearing from you is that I should go f*** myself.  At this point, the insane instability is telling me that, and I don't see any action from you that counters that conclusion. 

 

Why do I say this?  You apparently fix things, and the fix lasts for a day before you break it again.

All of these crashes are from 16.3 and above.  The list of crashes for 16.2.2 is zero.  Don't think I'm justifiably angry, I'll list the crashes just since update 16.  Please note, a laptop using a 4310U CPU and integrated graphics has been used in parallel, and does not crash.

For those counting, 34 crashes.  All of them listed were at the start of mission (I removed the couple of unstuck crash reports).

 

You want to give me the finger, this is how you do it.  If I'm not stable by 16.4, this game is getting removed from my computer.

the tactical alert is fun, sure

 

but I think you used the wrong kind of scaling - I mean, casual newer players won't ever see this emblem earned I can tell you this much. :\ I feel sorry for them

 

That's why the 3rd reward is, essentially, worthless. It does nothing. Missing out on it doesn't disadvantage anyone.
