Triskelon
Rhinoa Iron skin was honestly the only reason I played Rhino. I understand with the development of PvP coming that it would have made him retartedly OP, and probably be victor every single time, if not the player is doing something extremely wrong. I would just like to suggest this idea for consideration. With the up and coming "dueling" PvP maybe instead of beating Frames with a nerf stick you could have separate stats. Example -PvE stats for Iron Skin: Immune to damage/stuns/knock backs. Iron skin was perfect for ressing fallen allies in the middle of a toxic pit, and being able to take on Ancients with ease. This is what made Rhino, and the reason people played him. -PvP stats for Iron Skin: Only take 80% damage versing players, and immune to stuns/knock backs. Hell the damage reduction could be even reduced to maybe 75% at minimum at max rank. Point of the matter is why instead of nerffing frames there be separate stats for the PvP aspect. I understand the game is centered around PvE don't ruin that part of the game because people want PvP. It's understandable that once PvP is in-cooperated into the game people will be raging over how OP some abilities are, and by nerfing the abilities you are making the PvE players rage. So why not make the best of both worlds, and satisfy both PvE, and PvP players by giving different stats for abilities when in PvE verses when in PvP. Cosmixkey
I disagree with this, no matter what, complete imunity was stupid. having fun in a game comes with challenge, if you can walk around and not take a single hit, you have no challenge what so ever. running out of energy you say? ohh why not get a trinity to energy vampire you up? or get an energy siphon artifact. I love the nerf they did, this will make a rhino have a challenge in their play style just a little, which will make it more fun. when you have over 1k shield, and complete immunity when you take too much damage, you are pretty much unkillable, so why even bother to play? god mode isnt fun, god mode is simply a cheap way of getting everything you want, with no way of failing. anyways, thats just my 2cents. Difference with Rhino and almost all other frames is his kit is designed for him to be in the middle of the battle, where he has to take hits. You can't really use Rhino with say Paris and pewpew from a distance. The changes have made Rhino unplayable the way he was designed to be played, last night I died to Kril in under 5 seconds after activating Iron Skin before my shield was even down with my Vitality at +200%! I literally got more survivability on bosses with my Excalibur (my only other 30 frame) so I now use that instead. To me Rhino is a redundant frame that I thankfully don't have to sell because I got plat for slots, unfortunately this also means I will no longer use close range weapons that I only used on Rhino such as shotguns. Triskelon
Rhinos other abilities aren't honestly as good compared to other frames his only other useful ability was Rhino stomp, which Vauban has a better, and cheaper energy cost version of. Iron skin made Rhino perfect for ressing teammates. I do admit it could use a nerf, but not in the way it did. Maybe switch from 50 energy cost to 100. I mean for what it does, or well did it should at least be that, and move rhino stomp to 75 ect.. ect..

The use of close range weapons is also something else. Rhino made Melee, and other close range combat play style exceptional for players who preferred melee/shotguns ect... over pew pew from a distance. Tarmon11
It really annoys me when people talk about how having complete immunity was "God mode" and there was no challenge. If you didn't have all of the power duration mods and such the ability only lasted a few seconds, and if you played too recklessly during that time then you got your S#&$ kicked in and exploded. The reason I wanted Rhino was so that I could play a very melee-centric style of play and smash people to bits with a really large hammer. Now, I can't even do that on areas as easy as Earth because even with iron skin activated medium-large groups of enemies absolutely destroy me when I try and get into close range because their firerate is so high they just tear though my health. There are many ways they could have nerfed him without destroying the usefullness of the ENTIRE waframe (His other abilities are not very helpful); for example, they could have made it so that you don't regen shields while having it on, they could have added a cool-down period, increased energy costs, lower duration, etc. I really hope they decide to reverse this change, because there really isn't any reason to use Rhino now because the only thing that made him unique is gone. There is several fallacies within your post. If DE decided to change Iron skin, then obviously it wasn't how he was designed to work. Devs decide for what and how he was designed. You were only used to working model. Be sure to know the difference. As someone mentioned in another thread, and as testified in your own example, the biggest difference in Iron skin use is that you now have to use it before receiving damage rather than after as free get-out-of-jail card. Yes, we all will have to adjust to this change. But, I categorically refuse to accept final judgement on new system functionality less than 24 hours after the patch hit. If anyone thinks that is enough for full analysis, I can only ask you to go make love to a cactus.

When your kit includes 2 fairly short range AOE, low damage CC spells that you are the centre of I am pretty sure it is designed for you to be in the middle of the fight, you realise I was not talking about Iron Skin when I said he is designed to be in the middle of a fight right? I always thought Iron Skin was too strong myself, but more because of the duration and the lack of cooldown on abilities (cooldowns applies to ALL frames not just Rhino) rather than the ability itself. Fenrisulfr
I know, I know. I'm just ranting because of other people. But yes, his other abilities definitely need buffs.
