Enomilli
This is not a QQ thread...merely a suggestion. DE...as far as your updates and balancing I'm very fine...but you must communicate with the player base much more than you do now. None of us ever know what to do or what to level or what to potato now out of fear that you may pull random stunts like the Rhino Nerf or the Grakata buff... We end up getting frames or selling things because of the miscommunication from you. Here is an example from my own experience with you...the Grakata. I was waiting for it to be buffed when it first came out because I knew it was bad...DE Steve said in a livestream,"Put crit chance and crit power mods on it", so I did just that...but the gun hardly crit...I sold it thinking it was just purely trash...and then the following day it finally gets the unannounced buff. Why not just say,"We are going to buff the crit chance and crit power of this gun so keep it?", you really need to work on communicating with us. Now you have most of the player base scared to do anything because you never tell us what is coming. Enough with the surprises...you claimed to have learned from your mistakes regarding Glaive yet you've done nothing to improve. At least warn us before hand of the ideas you have regarding buffs and nerfs so we know how to prepare for it. I will say this: I am fine with the updates you've brought thus far...even my Saryn and the massive nerfs she took*sniff* but my only complaint is that you tell us your plans and do not surprise us. Stop scaring the playerbase with lack of information regarding the future. That is all...flame me if you must community...I'm just sharing how I feel regarding these constant surprises... Repulsive
There's also the prospect of what the DE might do in future updates. We're reluctant to try things out if there's going to be so many dramatic changes. Hell, I know people who left after U7 because the mod system was just too complex for them. We need better communication from you, DE. At least let us have a voice in your decision making, afterall, we are your consumer base. Enomilli
It's a Beta. Do you not read? I only want them to tell us about the nerfs and buffs they give us... I know it's beta...I wish people would use their brains and say something more than that. Read my entire post before you just assume things like a moron please. Assume - It makes an "&#!" out of "u" and "me". So please...don't assume.

Manric
Here's an idea. Use something that you enjoy. It's a god damn PvE game, "overpowered" and "underpowered" weapons mean S#&$ most of the time. It's sounds to me like you just look for the current/next "good/uber" weapon and then get mad when it inevitably gets altered like DE is somehow out to get you. Do you honestly think that DE should communicate every single nerf/buff/change to the game with the community before making it so that you don't "waste" your precious credits? Entitled brat. Stop spending based on power levels and start playing the game for its intended purpose (fun). Edited May 18, 2013 by Manric
Bearclaw
Maybe if you get into the Design Council? Isn't that the point of the council? to suggest changes and see what changes are upcoming?

Communicating these changes, which can happen on short notices, will increase the time it will take to get out of beta.

I clearly state in the OP that I am fine with everything that they have done... I don't care about balancing it makes the game more enjoyable. I would merely like warnings...did you not read the part about my Grakata? I had sold it thinking it was trash because Steve never mentioned it was getting a buff...he only said "crit mod" the weapon... Sheesh people learn to read before making a comment... I don't want to suggest changes...I don't care that much to do so. But they hint at things like the Glaive or something. Now the new players that join the game are completely done for possibly until Update 8. Everyone is just too worried to do anything... I'm not asking for the future plans...but at least some insight on balancing so that way no one is caught off-gaurd.

Entitled brat. Stop spending based on power levels and start playing the game for its intended purpose (fun). You're being autistic, calm down. The OP never suggested that. We just want better communication from the DEV when they make major changes like this. And "OMG ITZ BETA" is a stupid argument because games still change out of beta. This is more of a process analysis of where the DEVs are going. Edited May 18, 2013 by Repulsive

Satori_Mind
"It's a beta" is a silly excuse for this. A better answer is that you shouldn't worry about the metagame and use what you enjoy instead! You're always going to lose when trying to play the balance prediction game.

Is it so wrong to want to have a clue about possible balancing? If it makes you feel better I use Paris/Glaive/Twin Viper. That does not sound top-tier to me at all. I play this game for fun...I'm worried more for others than myself regarding this matter.
se05239
The recent patch with the Rhino/Banshee changes could have been announced before actually applying patch. So that people could have stated their minds and opinions about it. I agree with you, whenever DE plans on making a larger change to a weapon or warframe (buff or nerf), then they should announce it. In the Council, or to every player. Otherwise, every patch will end up in a S#&$storm like this. Edited May 18, 2013 by se05239
Mickey1779
I see that you have not entered the founder's club. Just a thought but if you enjoy playing so much why not sign up for even the $20 Disciple package and use the platinum you get to buy a few warframe and weapon slots so you can keep the warframes and weapons you enjoy playing. Seems to me that this would solve some of your concerns regarding thinking you HAVE to sell something just to make room for another item.

Initial reaction to the current changes probably would've been even worse. Now we get to try them firsthand and many are finding things they like about them. It's not as if these are going to be the last changes ever. Constructive feedback is one of the goals of the current patch.

Changes can happen on short notice based on that feedback. For the rest of the players not providing feedback or watching the forums for trends from the players regarding balancing: this game is in beta. Now, take the personal initiative to explore these forums for what you are asking from the devs. Our communication with them does have an impact on what will be changed. Rhino I've seen others post about his Iron Skin being very powerful, perhaps overpowered. I myself posted about Grakata needing a crit build to compete with the stronger weapons like Gorgon. This all took place prior to the announced changes. I wouldn't ask the devs for this since they have already provided an avenue for me to provide feedback to them. This whole thread stems from the idea our feedback isn't considered, when really it is.

Next time, if you wish for me to elaborate my statements, just say so, instead of assuming that I'm a moron who can't read and making an &#! out of yourself.
