THE Lotus or (a) Lotus?

(Apologies if I'm late to the party, I just want to talk and pretend to be useful ;w;)

So I was playing through a mission, collecting some data, and when I got to the extraction ship Lotus pops up as I'm watching the cinematic. At first, I was ready to not pay attention to what she said, but then when she started to talk...

"Good work, Tenno. The Lotus will be pleased."

Uh, what? Unless Lotus suddenly developed a verbal tic of referring to herself in the third person like the Hulk, this means that there is than one Lotus that directs our squads, or perhaps even an entire organization of Lotuses. Lotusi. Whatever it is.

It would make sense that there is an organization that handles the "contracts" that the Tenno carry out along with the sheer number of operatives that are in the field at one time (even if the player characters outnumber the canonical active Tenno), but the way it was delivered is from left field. Something that perhaps she didn't want us to know, but had a careless slip of the tongue?

Probably she is one of the the "Sisters". Boss from Mercury(can't remember his name) mentioned something about "Sisters". Maybe they are some kind of rulers or oracles. It's hard to tell right now, these are mainly assumptions and guesses.

I think the Lotus is a group primarly made up of tacaticians and handlers, I'm not entirely sure if there is an actual set of "leaders" but it's still pretty clear that the Lotus are the ones calling the shots.

Now I'd like to put forward a bit of speculation that the lotus have actualy been awake all this time, rather then in stasis like the WarFrames have. That would explain whom orignaly started waking up the WarFrames.

I wonder if the Tenno are being manipulated by (the) Lotus? We pretty much have to take their word that they have what is in the Tenno's best interests in mind with little evidence to back it up. Sure, the Gineer want to kill the Tenno and the Corpus would probably like to steal the tech of the Tenno's cold dead bodies, but given the setting I'd be willing to bet there's a fair number of skeletons in (the) Lotus' closet.

For what i read and understand.. Grinneer overwhelm Universe.. Lotus gets hands on Cryopods containing (nearly extinct) Tenno and old Earthen Orokin Technology (The Warframes) which was used by Tenno before (Tenno possible decendants of Man or evolved?). The Lotus contracts the Tenno to do stuff and fight. To be continued.. as we play...

But i can be wrong.. dunno.. but it sounds good :D

Lotus could be a name of a rank or social station as well.

I know I used the term Samurai before in an explanation, but think of it this way;

The term 'Samurai' is used as not only a singular, but also as a plural. The word fits in well, and it describes the bearer of the title in more than one way. In one hand it means 'servant' or 'one who serves' but as the years progress, it has been associated with the word 'Soldier', 'Class' and 'social-economic position.'

The Lotus is used in the same sense the word Grineer or Corpus is – at least in this case. The Lotus is the name of the faction the Tenno belong to, a group of revived warriors, all fighting for a cause. Perhaps the leaders of the Lotus, (these sisters perhaps) are not Tenno themselves, but rather use them as their fighting force?

In the use 'The Lotus will be pleased...”

Could be read as, “The organization you fight for will be pleased.”
