That mean that puncture procs trigger punch through. Coz when bullet punctures stuff...shouldnt it go through? And vice versa...When bullet "punch through" shouldnt it puncture? When shot through walls, puncture weapons will punch them through only if puncture procs on contact with the wall. So you will be able to shoot through walls based on status chance. That means that Lanka, Dread and all non puncture weapons that had innate "punch through" will be affecter (No more "punch through" for these) while weapons like Daikyu and such will be able to pierce stuff. About "weakened" status on puncture proc. Instead of "nerfing" enemie's damage output by 30% it shoud INCREASE received damage by 20%. So if you proc your target with puncture, next shots will deal 20% more damage to that target. I do realise that this is total rework of current system and will require full rebalance of existing weaponry....But I believe that Puncture and "punch through" MUST be merged somehow. P.S. No, im not drunk. EDIT 1 Now that i thought about it...Yeah. I think Some "special" weapons can keep that effect (As long as they visually "fit") For example Dread can keep its punch through. Due to plasma arrows. But Cernos shouldnt punch through. BLUNT arrows. These should stun enemies. Not just stagger...but stun. for ~2 seconds. Lanka....It also can keep its punch through....But I would prefer it to chain like "Amprex" instead. Coz Punch through is EVERYWHERE and kinda boring already. About punch through mods....These must go. Coz these can be slapped everywhere. EVEN ON ROCKETS. Freaking rocker that GO THROUGH ENEMIES without exploding....Thats not normal. I think that: Impact - stuns. (Tweak: Amount of impact damage determines stun time. More damage -longer stun) Puncture - multiple enemies hit due to "punch through". People really need to start coming up with ideas that don't involve rebalancing every weapon, enemy, and scaling mechanic in the f-ing game. Seems like every topic I look at is "make this 'one simple change' and rebalance the whole game around it. you know, just that." as though it will be done in no time at all.
