Zenn Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I am still looking to find some middle ground for all players can be alright with. Redeem codes could be a very good alternative and can not be argued as something that would affect income. Anyone that knows about Redeem Codes, these codes are a one time code that is randomly given code to only a few people who have the game once in a great while. Usually Redeem Codes don't get given out every month, given out at random and doesnt have a short and/or periodical timers. Completely random in timing and item/currency would be alittle bit more of a acceptable for those who do not have the abilities as others. Warning to Clients: Any arguement that claims the "Devs need money" is a invalid arguement." Thank you and have a nice day
Delpziee Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 If i have been given a code where is it ? in my email or ?
Zenn Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 (edited) ProSniperr, its a suggestion for Warframe, not a actaul thing yet. And russ555, dont start with that. Edited May 18, 2013 by Zenn
Bleak_Advent Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Since when does a developer not need an income to support the development and growth of the game? The dev team has been more than adamant about obtaining particular items through alerts, farming, or logging in. Your proposal of redeems is seemingly more random than the alerts or the log in bonuses. DE is already planning on tweaking log in bonuses and I see alerts as fair enough, as many ? Items make the rounds multiple times a week.
Zenn Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 (edited) Bleak_Advent, im talking about everything, from getting credits, helmets, but also cosmetics and packs as part of the system. Redeem codes do not only confine themselves to items we could aquire regularly. Also possiblity to earn a complete warframe is also a possiblity. Edited May 18, 2013 by Zenn
Bleak_Advent Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I'm well aware of what you're speaking of, but what purpose does it fulfill that is not already addressed by something which is already in the game?
Mainabi Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 I'm well aware of what you're speaking of, but what purpose does it fulfill that is not already addressed by something which is already in the game? he will receive mails so he won't feel lonely, honestly redeem codes are only interesting if there would be a refer program, and you might get a survival pack extra as a new player, stuff like that or some credits as a headstart, else I don't see any purpose in having to send out codes (the referer should maybe get stuff like special fun skins, nothing big, just something that it's still nice to have but not a must)
