Exagerated Pbr In Grineer Asteroid Tile-Sets

Grineer maps, and in particular this asteroid tile set, usually are rusty, dirty, and degraded.

 

 

 

 

But these pipes are too clean and too much shinny in contrast with every other item and detail in the map.

 

 

 

 

 

 

TLDR: sh*t be too much bling-bling for the ghetto

Check Archwing interception missions, your eyes will burn from that high level of PBR, everything is shinnier than Sun

- the Tiles are worn, though. you see a lot of worn machinery and stuff that isn't pristine.

- protecting metal like those pipes so that they look pretty for hundreds of years is pretty easy really...

clear coating it makes it impervious to the elements.

and hell, on Ceres, you see entire Grineer Ships being effectively Cosmolined, which would work for that purpose.

at any rate, i'm glad to have some contrast.

'brown and gray' is not a good color palate for interesting visuals. having a mix of possibly brand new stuff and old war torn stuff makes for a more eye pleasing scene.

Contrast is critically important.
