HEK Blueprint XP Requirement

So I never bothered to get the HEK blueprint, since I had just hit rank 3 when it came out. But then I saw a lot of people running around with it who are not rank 5+ and figured out that apparently you could get the blueprint and craft it to use it?

Emphasis on "could." Did they hotfixed this and made it impossible to get til you're actually rank 5?

I'm kinda sad.

Why is it Rank 5 anyway? Any other weapon i've seen requires Rank 2 at most, which i've gotten by now. But Rank 5? That will take me a long time to get there.

I'd imagine they've done it so we have something to work toward in Beta stage once we've got everything else we want. WIth the current low level of content, it makes sense to hold something back to maintain beta player interest.

And even if it remains there, it's good to have longer term unlocks anyway.

Well, as it is right now, grinding account rank/mastery level is nothing short of frustrating. I mean, you have to resort to buying, leveling and reselling starting weapons. I can't imagine this to be the intended way to level up mastery. With new content coming out, I hope they'd provide more ways of leveling, and perhaps in the meantime, they can add unlockable weapons or rewards to ranks 3 and 4, so the grind from 2 to 5 just to get a nerfed HEK isn't as unappealing.
