Bloodywing
This suggestion is for people who missed some critical special "?" alerts. It would be nice if there was a feature where you replay any "?" in the past 12 hrs. It could be a once a day feature or can be refilled if you want to replay another alert(refilled with plat like revives). I for one don't like BPs in the "?" Alerts but this might ease the pain of missing the ones that you need. What do you guys think of this idea?
KvotheTheArcane1
+1, being able to replay one a day (and able to be refilled with plat) is a great idea imo, and frees up a lot of stress of rng (ofc you can't redo missions you already did, otherwise 1 cata alert will get you 2)

That everyone should stay up 24 hrs a day watching twitter feeds for the "?" Alert that you've been waiting for for days/weeks/months?

Alert that you've been waiting for for days/weeks/months? These alerts are meant to be for a short time. You either get them or you dont. Making a "flashback" simply devalues all the rare items that could drop because I wouldnt care cause I would definitly have the chance to grab the one that suits me most. Great..... If you have an hour a day, and get 2 alerts during that time, and just for numbers, lets say one of the 2 is a "?" on average. how long would it take a casual player to get something he wants from it? Months probably.edit: I'm torn both ways now actually. I understand the point of the rare items on the alerts, but at the same time it's not very friendly to more casual players. KvotheTheArcane1
The thing is, you cant please everyone. true, but I feel the alert system needs some sort of rework, maybe something along the lines of using tokens, and having a shop for X (5-7 at most) common items, Y (3-5 tops) uncommon items, and Z (1 would be my guess) rare items and these might change every day, or every few hours (12-16 or something like that)
Venarge
So because you evidently have all the time in the world to play warframe whenever, means everyone else should just get #*($%%@? well actually, I have to work from 9am till 6pm. 6 days a week. I wouldnt say I have all the time. I miss orokin stuff too. I havent bought any potaote with my plat yet. I still have 11 blue and 7 gold potatoes left to craft. The thing is that people these days dont have any patience. Its like it became a super power. And to be true. If people dont want to wait like all the others, they have to pay. Its that easy. Pay for convience. If you cant handle to wait for something, its up to you to do something about it and buy the certain item.

Alerts are fine and OP's idea is just stupid and against the purpose of alerts.

You can't just wait for Alerts, because Real life gets in the way. Most people don't have access to WF 24/7. Whether they're asleep, at work, school, or just out of the house. Everything except alert items can be worked toward without being time-dependent, with alerts all you can do is wait and hope you're available when it comes up. Alerts are fine and OP's idea is just stupid and against the purpose of alerts. Because that's how game design works. Catering to the hardcore crowd who already has everything in the game will only ensure you don't get many, if any new players thanks to the impenetrable walls everything becomes (hell, just look at the marketplace which has dissuaded several new players already). And its the new players coming into a f2p game like this who are most likely to spend money on more plat than someone who already has all their gear at level 30, potatoed up and can easily solo pluto. (Not to say they shouldn't make end game/harder content for the hardcore though) edit: SP Edited May 21, 2013 by KvotheTheArcane1

Ok so we now have 2 out of 13 frames and 1 weapon out of what, I gues 30+ weapons that rely on RNG. There is definitly so much content you wont be able to play immediatly.... Bloodywing
I am not a casual player, almost 300 hrs played - Rank 7. But then I still miss Alerts I've been waiting for for days/weeks/months just because I had to work or I was asleep or whatever the case may be. This is catered to all players not just hardcore or casual. Why should players be punished for having Real Life "?" Alerts and/or low on Platinum. ( I'm not a Founder but I purchased a few stuff)
Angius
Is that really that important, to get stuff NOW? If you want WF, weapon, catalyst, or anything else IMMEDIATELY you have to pay. That's the cost of not being patient. I'm here since closed beta, and I played 2 warframes (two warframes), and maybe 2 or 3 rare weapons. And I'm not crying, because I want HERE NOW EVERYTHING. Patience is the key.
Venarge
. Patience is the key. Mate, patience became the ultimate super power. Even more rare than common sense. If it would be a mod, it would have the rarity of thunderbolt.....

There is definitly so much content you wont be able to play immediatly... 11 (13 if you don't count the dagger skins) of the 53 weapons rely on RNG (heat dagger, heat sword, dark sword, dark dagger, glaive, dagger axe (scindo, zoren), manticore, brokk, ceramic dagger, plasma sword, pangolin sword, and jaw sword.) 1 warframe, all the artifacts, and all the alt helmets on the alert system (just facts more or less) Is that really that important, to get stuff NOW? Well sure, but if you're not on like 24/7 you're gonna miss a lot of stuff, esp if that's the only way to get it, outside of paying money. (again, I think the alert system needs a rework of some kind)

Patience is the key. It's not about wanting it immediately. It's that people have been waiting days/weeks and the only times the alerts they want show up is when they're engaging in their life, otherwise its just pistol scavenger for ever. It'd be nice if the variety changed up and I'd actually get catalysts or Vauban BPs during hours when I played sometimes rather than at four-five AM.
