Yinglong Posted July 5, 2015 Share Posted July 5, 2015 There is partly some fault on your end that may be causing it. What happens is that your connection is disconnecting and reconnecting. As a result, it creates another copy of yourself when reconnected. To get rid of the copies, usually you'd have to stay offline for a bit to get rid of them. 30 secs to a minute; just a rough estimate. The worst I've seen was someone in my clan had multiple copies of himself on the online roster and they had a _1, _2, _3, _4, _5 next to their names, it was rather amusing. If you're using Wi-Fi, there may be some faulty hardware or interference that may be causing the instability. This happened to me frequently. In my case, it turned out that a neighbor was using the same channel as mine. What I did was change the broadcasting channel to one that's a bit more obscure. Yinglong Posted July 5, 2015 Share Posted July 5, 2015 A little bit of both. I would download a free utility that scans the Wi-Fi in your area and see if anyone else is using your channel. If you find that your channel matches with someone else, change it to something else in your router settings, and you should have a much more stable connection. Hopefully. Just tell her there's a neighbor that's interfering with the router (confirm it first) and you have to make a simple change to it. Both of you will benefit in the long run.
