ManaColt Posted July 21, 2015 Share Posted July 21, 2015 My idea for this is that instead of the shotguns being stuck with the current pellet ammunition, they be granted an additional ammo type. This ammunition type would be the slug. The slugs would have higher damage when they strike the target than most rifle rounds do, excluding the sniper rifle family, but would lack the crowd control possibility of the pellet ammunition and the slugs would have greater range than the pellets would. My suggested way to work this in would be that when you select the shotgun as your primary weapon (or even your secondary, for those few hand shotguns in the game), you could then access another menu that would allow you to toggle between the two ammunition types. taiiat Posted July 21, 2015 Share Posted July 21, 2015 Tainted Shell is your Slugs Mod. removing Damage Falloff from Shotguns then allows Tainted Shell to do exactly what you want. incredible effective Range, but poor Crowd hitting. and as always, it would still be way less effective than shooting something with a Bow or Sniper Rifle at those Ranges, while also shooting slower. ergo balanced.
