Rebalancing Warframe's Weapons: Lmg Edition

I have been slowly rebalancing weapons over the past few months, and seeing that Scott will be touching up the Supra, I decided to show at least this bit.

 

Now, before I start, this is how I manage Tiers:

 Market: Low to High Tier

 Clantech: High Tier

 Wraith, Vandal, Prime, Mara, Prisma, etc: Top Tier

 

And here are how I imagine these weapons work:

 Gorgon

An enemy stands before you? FILL HIS BODY WITH LEAD!

 Soma

An enemy stands before you? (precisely) BLOW HIS HEAD OFF!

 Supra

An enemy stands before you? FILL THE ROOM WITH PLASMA!

 

Allright, let us get to stats.

 

Gorgon

Gorgon (448dps):

·         32 Damage

·         26 Impact

·         2 Puncture

·         4 Slash

·         12 Accuracy

·         14 Firerate

·         1.5x|5% Critical/Bullet

·         15% Status

·         120 Magazine

·         3.2s Reload

·         720 Ammo

·         High Recoil

·         Spool Up: 14 Rounds

 

Gorgon Wraith (644dps, 781dps w/ bonus):

·         46 Damage

·         40 Impact

·         2 Puncture

·         4 Slash

·         14 Accuracy

·         14 Firerate

·         1.5x|5% Critical/Bullet

·         25% Status

·         120 Magazine

·         3.0s Reload

·         720 Ammo

·         High Recoil

·         Spool Up: 12 Rounds

·         Bonus: Procs deal 1.3x damage

·         Polarities: V (Top Left)

 

Prisma Gorgon (448dps, 739.2dps modded, 828.8dps modded w/ bonus):

·         32 Damage

·         22 Impact

·         8 Puncture

·         2 Slash

·         14 Accuracy

·         14.5 Firerate

·         1.5x|20% Critical/Bullet

·         5% Status

·         160 Magazine

·         3.2s Reload

·         960 Ammo

·         High Recoil

·         Spool Up: 12 Rounds

·         Bonus: Each Crit on the same target increases critical multiplier on that target by 0.05x up to 0.5x, not affected by crit damage mods. (2.0x on a single target total after 10 hits)

Soma

Soma (112.5, 618.75dps modded):

·         10 Damage

·         4 Puncture

·         6 Slash

·         18 Accuracy

·         12 Firerate

·         3.0x|30% Critical/Bullet

·         2.5% Status

·         120 Magazine

·         3.2s Reload

·         720 Ammo

·         Medium-High Recoil

·         Spool Up: 14 Rounds

 

Soma Prime (146.25dps, 792dps modded):

·         12 Damage

·         4 Puncture

·         8 Slash

·         20 Accuracy

·         12.5 Firerate

·         3.0x|32.5% Critical/Bullet

·         2.5% Status

·         200 Magazine

·         3.2s Reload

·         800 Ammo

·         Medium-High Recoil

·         Spool Up: 12 Rounds

·         Bonus: 100% chance of crit on headshot (Not affected by Crit Chance Mods)

Supra

Supra (600dps):

·         40 Damage

·         2 Impact

·         28 Puncture

·         6 Slash

·         8 Accuracy

·         15 Firerate

·         1.5x|10% Critical/Bullet

·         5% Status

·         1000 Magazine (Feeds directly from drops, unless firing. If the magazine reaches 0, the weapon will overheat and won’t accept ammunition for 6 seconds)

·         Very High Recoil (Lower Than Current)

·         Spool Up: 20 Rounds

·         65 m/s Projectile Speed

 

Supra Vandal (810dps):

·         54 Damage

·         4 Impact

·         56 Puncture

·         8 Slash

·         8 Accuracy

·         15 Firerate

·         1.5x|10% Critical/Bullet

·         10% Status

·         1000 Magazine (Feeds directly from drops, unless firing. If the magazine reaches 0, the weapon will overheat and won’t accept ammunition for 4 seconds)

·         Very High Recoil (Lower Than Current)

·         Spool Up: 18 Rounds

·         65 m/s Projectile Speed

·         Bonus: 1m Punchthrough

·         Polarities: V (Top Left)

 

Mara Supra (750dps):

·         50 Damage

·         2 Impact

·         46 Puncture

·         10 Slash

·         10 Accuracy

·         15 Firerate

·         1.5x|15% Critical/Bullet

·         5% Status

·         1200 Magazine (Feeds directly from drops, unless firing. If the magazine reaches 0, the weapon will overheat and won’t accept ammunition for 4 seconds)

·         Very High Recoil (Lower Than Current)

·         Spool Up: 16 Rounds

·         75 m/s Projectile Speed

·         Bonus: Innate Ammo Mutation (Rank 2 Mod)

 

 

 

Entropy Burst (Cephalon Suda) changed into Rapid Sequence (The Perrin Sequence): +90% Projectile Speed, +1 Sequence.

Usable on all versions of the Supra.

Supra Vandal and Mara Supra must happen!

I love my Supra and with the upcoming buff it will no longer collect dust in the far corner of my arsenal, the idea that Ammo is fed directly into the weapon is an interesting concept and would make the gun a lot more fun to use

I don't care what lore says, Somas are Assault Rifles, not LMGs -_- But the Supra is getting buffed, details are coming in the next DevStream. We just got word that Reb has been harassing the weapons guy to do it and he caved in :P

This is just my take on the Soma, looking at it as an LMG :P

I do know that Scott will be buffing/balancing the Supra, I posted this now because of that.

 

Edit: The Soma is mentioned as an assault rifle, but i dont think an assault rifle would wind up, have such a huge clip, and such high damage.

 

Edit2: That means i will be tuning down your Boltor Prime, if i get to it.

Dont worry, it shouldnt hurt too much.

It'll hurt a lot.

Extremely well thought of re-balancing, with the inclusion of stats. 

 

This works around how the weapon mechanics play to your advantage,  eg; Soma having the ability to pump as much bullets into the head in the shortest amount of time.

 

I appreciate how this buff isn't game breaking, as some would like to think. Sure you can put in heavy cal , or buff it with status chance mods or fire rate mods, but you lose the weapon's mechanic bonus. 

 

Would definitely like to see this happening in a future update sooner than later. 

 

And seeing as how this is for "LMG's" , I'd like to see some other weapons getting "Re-balanced"

The main thing supra needs is increased projectile velocity... seriously it has the slowest projectiles I've ever seen and it's quite worthless because of it.

I know, in this thread i have increased the projectile velocity by 10 for the normal Supra and Supra Vandal, and by 20 for the Mara Supra.

 

 Not sure if that is enough though.

It's nowhere near enough.

 

Supra's projectile velocity needs to be doubled.  Even that would make it slower than the dera, but at least fast enough to be useable.

Allright, i have changed the projectile velocity to 65m/s for the Supra and Supra Vandal, 5m/s below the Boltor Prime. The Mara Supra it is at 75m/s, 5m/s above Boltor Prime.
