U8 came and wow just wow. Everything pretty much needs to be bought and paid for now. I mean ya you can still craft alot of things but i am looking at this horrible growing trend.

 

Clan key 12hours to make a stupid key for your clan or cough up the plat to speed build it. Cashing in on new implemented stuff here big time. Ya i know its only 10 plat it's the point that matters.

 

Void keys buy them or hope they drop.

 

Forma new material pay for it or hope like hell it gets put out in daily login and who knows how much is needed to do whatever with it yet.

THE BIGGEST kick in the face is the Stalker package: WOW! DE that was just so wrong on so many levels. I for one could careless about the sycthe. it doesn't interest me at all but all you did there was take every bit of what the community was asking for and placed it in this 800 platium package. Just WRONG imo.

 

I am sure these items that are to be gifts from the RNG are like the milking of the 3 mods that came with 7.10 pretty much nil and none suck it up and pay is what i see DE running towards. If i wanted that sort of gaming experience i could go back to planetside and deal with that BS.

It's still F2P, you just can't have everything right NOW if you don't want to pay. I think they have done a very good job of balancing how to acquire items.

EDIT: They also reduced the material costs of a lot of blueprints and Alloy Plates can now drop in stacks up to 80~ or so I've heard (max I've seen is 40~ so far which is still like triple the common old values) rendering your marketplace complaint from last update largely moot.

What you described is how free2play games work. 

 

What i described is how greedy publishers make a F2P. There's alot to consider between F2P and being greedy. DE is crossing into the greedy land. And over balancing towards you need to pay for everything.

Not mad as you can see in my statement about the stalker package. I could careless about it. My point DE is crossing into greedy land. And alot should be considered on how their milking the cash cow. With the way their bringing in new items. Honestly the stalker package is a kick in the face to the majority of the community that begged, suggested wanted and everything else.

Basically, a lot of this outrage is stemming from the fact that exclusive stuff is only available reliably through platinum. People scream bloody murder over the fact that out of the 20 weapons and some new features that they cost plat. What you did not acknowledge was the fact that the kunai, the sniper, and the other new melee weapon stuff are now blueprint available. In addition, some of the stuff we have yet to discover in the research labs is also available with patience.

The central conflict about those who pay and those who don't is basically how fast one gets something. You shell out plat, you get stuff instantaneously. You play this awesome game for absolutely no charge at all, you have to wait a while, and this seems a little ungrateful. Personally, I'm off put by the fact that some of this stuff is RNG, but really it all comes up eventually. just wait a while and there will be an alert mission up. And if you miss it, just wait for the next one.

Few things in this game NEED to be bought and paid for, they simply require patience. And the clan key crafting for 12 hours, so what? You're going to get it in time, so just sit tight and wait a while.

In my opinion you're turning a blind eye to all the good parts of this patch, and there are many. Please consider them as well as the things you do't like about the patch.

....OP.....I think you might be missing the point about how free to play games work...although I agree it seems that so much (everything or almost) is very hard to get and enjoy, it was only just released. We have to see how this plays out. 

 

However, if you consistently play the game and are not able to enjoy the new content like levels etc for a long time, and the new polarize system, then yeah, they should definitely take a look at how they're setting things up.

Yeah, they still offer "important" stuff via ingame ways, but they are so hard to get, that only platinum is reasonable. I do not like where this is going.

F2P = Free to play. Unless warframe suddenly decides to gate off massive amounts of content that can only be accessed with money, or decides to charge subscription fees, it will remain F2P.

 

P2W = Pay to win! Overpowered gear that can not be gotten any other way then paying, or is incredibly unrealistic to obtain otherwise.

 

Currently warframe is P2SG, Pay to skip grind. Honestly, the current best F2P model out there.

 

Void keys are kinda rare, but can be found without too much effort. Honestly the only thing that is really worrying involves forma, but even then its not at the point where i would start accusing of P2W.

 

 

Also it's still beta.

Yes, basically. People mistake a "free to play" with "free" game and mostly have no idea that 100+ high skilled professionals cost +10M/year in salary alone, money that doesn't come out of trin air.

As much as I've banged on DE for their alert system, I gotta disagree with a lot of stuff here

1. Waiting 12 hours for clan dojo is annoying, yeah, but it's not that bad. Everything else takes that much time. Helps stop clan jumping too.

2. I'm going to have to wait and see on this. Might be really bad, might be ok. Takes a few days. At least it's not like Glaive or Vauban where you only get em through alerts: You can get these through regular gameplay.

3. Iffy on this, but Forma has two uses: building Dojos and changing polarities. Plus, can't you get them as rewards from gameplay as well? Not sure on this. Even if it's just alerts/log-in rewards... I dunno. Doesn't seem too bad, especially since the only thing you need to use it with to get items is a clan. Yeah, 30 Forma is a lot, but if you have a large # of members that might not take so long. Split that Forma across 4 guys, that's what, two guys getting 7 forma and two getting 8? That's 140/160 plat a person. It's a scenario that rewards larger clans while allowing small clans to still do it over a longer period of time, seems good to me.

4. Market Changes: Yeah, I gotta agree with you there.

5. Stalker weapons are dropped by Stalker. So you can get them that way (appropriately rare) or you can get em in the shop. Kind of annoying to have to wait for him to show up, honestly... but all of these are variants on weapons that already exist. Unlike the Glaive.

Definitely hope they don't go too far down the "force to buy platinum" path (I can categorically state that no free player has gotten Vauban) but they haven't gone that far yet.

Also, wait a few days so we can figure out the frequency of Forma gets

Snipetron will be coming back, after it's been sufficiently re-Corpus'd.

 

As for the subject of Forma being 'pay to win', consider two things:

 

1. Clans can pitch in to gather Forma for research, so it's not like you are going to be relying on a singular man to obtain Forma for every research project.

 

2. Forma for single people, meanwhile, is essentially just a big 'endgame' draw, making your personal perfect weapon that you can use against your enemies to game-breaking possibilities. Thus, it's rarity is somewhat a good idea to keep the game on the level earlier on.

 

Everything else falls under yon classic 'pay for convience' so it's not like you're ludicrously gimped out of gameplay, which for the most part the game is fun enough to make up for shortcomings in some's eyes.

Well, I didn't realize it took that much....that is quite high. Listen, I'm really worried about forma because personally I've been waiting with extreme anticipation for the prestige system, now called polarize system. 

 

So when I found out I basically have to use a catalyst to use the system, I was bummed. Now that Im slowly hearing of the quantities required for other things, I'm a bit worried. 

 

However, my point stands, let's see how they balance things, it is beta and it has only just been released. (the update)

However, the Stalker still runs like a poo-baby, which means you need to use Heavy melee weapons with Killing Blow to actually kill the stalker.
