(PSN)LA_10599 Posted July 26, 2015 Share Posted July 26, 2015 I should say i have a problem with the use of alcohol on a games stream there are under aged children also playing this game and watching the streams You cut bodies in half and shoot guys etc. and you ate worried about the devs drinkimg alcohol ? No, because there are probably more players than you think who identify as transgender/nonbinary and to have the developer of a game make light of the issues queer people face (especially in an online setting where they can often be treated like garbage) without understanding why it could be offensive is something that is important. They're giving you an option in case you can't handle having two shots in a magazine. do tell me more how I can't "handle" having two shots in the magazine, you arrogant prick. let me spell it out for you: the people who have expressed concern about the Vectis Prime were primarily those who loved the original Vectis for its single-shot, bolt action feel. I, personally, and I'd wager a great deal of the others couldn't care less about Primed Chamber, as it's a mod probably only a couple hundred people have in the first place. so now to enjoy that same feeling on a beefed up, shiny gold-plated prime version, those people will have to waste a mod slot, which will result in them being better off with just sticking to the original. does maths make sense to you, oh master and specialist? Preferential treatment involves not being treated like your gender identify is a joke? When Rebecca rebuked him during livestream Steve obviously understood why she had done it. That he apologized for insulting a part of the Warframe player base should not upset you in the slightest. It has absolutely nothing to do with you aside from the fact that everybody should be cultivating a fun and safe environment for a diverse group of players. This is not a debate, and I'm not continuing the discussion to the point where you start throwing more insults. If you feel that strongly about this, create a thread about it so you can show off your aggression towards queer gamers in a more public setting. Having emotions, especially hurt ones when someone we pay attention to indirectly insults something that defines who you are, does not make you an Idiot. Nobody thinks anyone deserves any sort of "preferential treatment". If you believe that wanting respect, or not enjoying being laughed at and verbally abused for your decision of gender means we want some sort of special treatment, then I would kindly like to direct you to dozens of instances in history where discrimination was present for a type of person. Africans across the globe, Jewish people, Muslims in multiple countries, native Americans, hell, the American-Japanese population during WWII, need I continue? They don't all relate to people being transgender, but they are all things that define who someone is, and are all things that have been discriminated against. In all cases, violently, just like transgender people have. Steve made the mistake and apologized for it sincerely. The people he indirectly insulted had enough self respect to stand up for themselves and call out the problem. Striking up another fire over an already solved issue because you don't want it solved is not appropriate. There is a profound beauty and honor in finding the words that best represents ones feelings. Its is a skill, with a time, place and usage. Returning to the subject Warfame, The art direction for the new frame is very interesting and has (for what I know) never been done before. It also provides incite into the lore of the Warframes. I for one, have rallied for the camp implicating the Warframes were once human, but now physically represent something alien, possibly demonic like a warrior's mask. The void itself is unknowable, allowing for many possibilities. This frame clearly shows the frame does not contain a physical person, but a spirit; far more complex of a concept then a specific label. Devstreams are live streams of the Developers from DE (Digital Extremes), the company that makes this game. They talk about all the upcoming stuff and show us stuff they are working on, and answer questions from the players which can be posted on the forums in the devstream thread before it starts like this one > https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/494296-coming-soon-devstream-57/ The devstreams are streamed live on > www.twitch.tv/warframe every 2 weeks on a Friday mostly. They will announce a devstream a week before it starts so that you can get your questions in. Not all questions will be answered, only selected ones.
