Secondaries And Crits...

So as we all know a secondary can't score a crit as well as a primary, so should we press for crit builds for secondaries?
We all saw how aksomati went down, and now there's dual grakata. It's true that these are fan based weapons, but what do you think about them not only being eye candy?

Secondaries have the multishot advantage, and I don't thing the crit chance reflects that in the stat screen.

The DPS still won't add up though. It doesn't matter if most of those weak bullets hit weakly. You got a bunch of weak bullets, and like 1 critical bullet. Soma was special because of A LOT of Yellow Numbers.

It's math and praying to rngesus.

You either have

Soma- 75ish% chance to crit, 90% chance to get two shots

vs

Aksomati- with primed pistol gambit about 50% chance to crit, 100% chance to shoot two and 80% to shoot three.

But multishot is the reason why secondaries hold back a bit, plus they fact that they are sidearms and not primary weapons.

I see a lot of yellow numbers on Aksomati too, and people have said that they feel that it can out crit soma.

50% crit rate is actually pretty high for weapons with that sort of rate of fire, especially at 3 shots per actual round fired.  Also, when they crit, they crit pretty hard, having higher base damages than their primary counter parts.

And to be fair, if similar mods between primaries and secondaries were exactly the same, and say, the AKSomati had the exact same stats as the Soma, it'd be like picking which slot you wanted your Soma to fit in.  What DE did is recast the Soma in a different light.  Same theme, works with the same builds, but there's enough variation there to call them two different weapons.
