Remodel The Hek

The whole PVC pipe vibe isn't doing it for HEK to start with. It's not that intimidating for a shotgun that deals highest damage.

I'd prefer a large single barrel with a nice finish(something fancy) at the business end.

4 barrel design works up until Ammo stock is added to increase the ammo capacity as I imagine it's 1 barrel 1 shell.

Here I'd add belt feeding. It's a huge shotgun with huge damage, rambo style gives it the best feel.

Use the vertical grip or lose the vertical grip. If it doesn't have a purpose as perhaps a secondary attack where all 4 barrels are fired, it's just like those anime guns that have spikes in the places they shouldn't have.

As for effects, which is more animation department than model department, I'd go for some gibbing when HEK kills something. Currently it feels a bit wimpy when the grineer lancer just falls to the ground after having his face filled with lead.

I'd say it's fairly goofy nature fits Vay Hek to a degree in all their wacky aesthetics. Would be nice if they added more weapon skins in general though. Since they've added the skin ability for weapons (and alternate frame heads), there really hasn't been anything interesting added to even use the system.

I have to agree with the Hek's appearence, despite it's effectiveness, the aesthetic approach came off as goofy to me. I like that KSG-looking shotgun picture, considering the Hek is quite accurate and could play with that image. Just orokin-ize it.

But optional skins? I like that, like the optional helmets for warframes, it could work in a similar fashion. When one goes to change the colors for said weapon, the other skin could appear there as does the optional helmet appears for a Warframe. Just as long as I'm not shelling out more than $5 for a re-skin.

Both of those shotguns are fugly from my perspective. I like to shoot the saiga but it just feels like a poor man's attempt at getting an automatic shotgun. If getting AA12 wasn't so difficult... UTS is too bulky, sure the magazine is massive, but I can't stand the block design. I rather go with a Benelli, Mossberg or even Remington (870 wingmaster or the old police models).

Anyway, yeah give us an alternate skin for the Hek. Hell I'd pay plat for it, given that design was pleasing to me.

Tbh, I think that the guys at Izhmash know what they're doing.

And they got some video presentations of the KS-K and Saiga-12.

Not sure about the difference, but the KS-K at least looks to be the military version of the Saiga-12.

I thought it was supposed to be a double-barreled shotgun except, you know, four barrels. It does look kind of dumb, though, it would be better if it looked more futuristic and less salvaged. Take the quad-shotgun from Blood Dragon, for example.

The salvage look fits the Grineer so well though. If it was a Corpus weapon the futuristic look would make more sense.

I also agree with direcyphre in that it's fitting for Vey Hek.
