Shotgun Crit And Status Chance

Question

How exactly does it work?

For example, the Hek has a base 10% crit chance and 25% status chance. Is that 10% crit chance split evenly among all the bullets the Hek fires or does each one have a 10% chance to crit? Same with Status Chance.

I am not sure but i think this is how it works :

For status chance > it's the chance in % of at least 1 pellet to proc, so it's the chance per shot.

For critical hit > it's the chance in % that each pellet will crit.

 

This is why multishot increase the status chance and not the critical hit chance.

 

(once again, i "think" this is how it works but i'm not sure)

Status is calculated per-shot while crits are per-pellet.

 

However, once given shotgun reaches 100% status per shot, every pellet is guaranteed to proc.

I'm not seeing every pellet proc in the Simulacrum with a 100% Status chance Hek.

EDIT: Wrote crit instead of proc.

How can it "crit" if you increase the status chance...?

And i think this is false :

Status chance is 'chance of at least one status proc per shot.'

 

This is true of all weapons, not just shotguns.

That is only true when you are not the Host.

Wiki, or just the arsenal.

 

When you put multishot you can notice the status chance increasing and the crit chance doesn't.

Well that doesn't help much when you consider the Hek can reach something like 27 pellets per shot. Hence why I created this post. But it makes sense at the very least.

But then who needs a proc on the Hek when you one-shot pretty much anything?
