I can only assume that with Equinox's ability to boost power strength even more would result in even higher drop multipliers...? I never got to test this myself, but I can only guess this was the reason (a good one to be honest) for this hot fix. edit: for minor corrections. Now you dont need to build for pure power to even activate pilfering swarm, this change just makes it so your tentacle swarm with pilf. just tags the mobs and everyone else can kill them too. Team mates not sitting twindling their thumbs while 1 guy spams a skill... in a coop pve game is a good thing. Tentacle swarm isnt affected in any way. Just not mandatory to last hit and rely on power while using pilfering.
