What do you guys think about friends gifting you items with platinum or credits? Opinions?

A cash currency gifting option is a fairly standard feature in MMOs.

 

I probably wouldn't use it much, but I'm not against it.

seen alot of games (spesificly massive online MMO open world games) wich let you buy cash only items, then give to a friend or sell for in game corrency, however, warframe, i dont think something like this would be implemented, as someone can try and hijack master founder account and gift himself stuff using the victim account.

if you have enough trust between you and your friend, just exchange login info so you can use the account and buy with your own money, platinum and platinum restricted items should not be transfareable.

In all honesty It would be dumb. Many players farm a lot, and have too much credits.

Others need them, it would balance it and take the edge out of farming for credits.

Therefore making credit alerts even less beneficial.

 

And with Platinum as this game is free, it encourages multi accounts.

Why pay for more slots when you can gift your two-three accounts back and forth the credits you need and plat for packs.

It really would break the game IMO.

Not to mention making multi accounts and gifting their 50 plat to their actual account.

Just buy them a UGC gift card or steam wallet if you need to gift them stuff.

This stuff just comes with WORLDS of abuse.  You think of "solutions" but the farmers... they find ways around these things.

Yeah, starting Platinum would obviously have to be restricted. UGC gift cards don't really work as well because you have to give people a minimum of 75 platinum (for example). I don't have that kind of money, haha - just some spare plat. I'd like to give out a few slots to F2P players every now and then.

I would like to have the option to gift some of my friends(mostly newer player friends who seem dedicated to the game) some platinum or weapons especially those who have helped me similarly in other games. It seems like a logical feature for a game of this type.
