I KNOW it seems unfair, but... did anyone ever say LIFE was fair? Why should a game be fair? I know people will insult me now because they cannot be bothered to read anything or understand MY point of view since THEIRS is all that matters.

 

With that, I wash my hands of this silliness. People are venting, okay. People are insulting each other instead of reading the explanation that most of the QA team is in vacation this week. But never mind. It's all a plot on the part of the EVIL SCUM at DE who cannot GIVE YOU SPECIAL PEOPLE (ENTITLED) EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT NOW! THE HORROR!. It's a conspiracy.

 

Go ahead, put on the tinfoil hats guys. Those of us who are not fruitloops will enjoy the game.

Well, do you think that life is fun when it's being unfair? Is a game fun when it is being unfair? Why do people play games? To have fun, so naturally, an unfair game is not fun. Hope that answers that question.

 

Nobody wants everything right now, they just want it eventually with that 'eventually' being sooner than 'almost impossible/never' especially for people in small clans due to the update locking half the content behind Dojo research and ridiculous material costs, including Formas which are also stupidly rare and others that do not have enough money to buy 200 keys in order to not even complete an item from the Void or farm Forma's for the same reason, the key drop rate being horribly low is also not helping much.

 

As someone mentioned earlier the gameplay time to even come close to completing a dojo plus research is insane unless you have 100+ active members in a clan that are willing to participate into reaching those goals. 

 

This is also a 4 player co-op game with a lobby system, it's not MMORPG and that kind of super ridiculous rare item farm doesn't realy appeal to most people. Else why aren't they playing WoW or something?

 

I do agree that there's probably no conspiracy here, just a badly implemented update, people need to chill out with these theories.

I'm not sure what the point of your post was, other than trying to start a fight, which is what you were complaining about...?

 

People have the right to complain about things they don't like. Sure no one forced anyone to buy the void keys, I can understand that. Just like no one forced you to read this thread. But they did buy them, some people bought a lot of them, and they didn't like it, and they feel ripped off.

 

I just hope the Devs fix it, since this new plan of theirs probably didn't work out like they probably expected. Assuming they do so soon, people will probably be happy enough to continue buying keys and they can save face without any refunds or public apologies etc etc etc.

Worst post I've read today, and I've been reading most of the big threads. The point of the open beta or any beta is to have us, the testers, give them technical and gameplay related feedback. They can just ignore us, but that would defeat the purpose of this testing stage, and would most likely condemn the game to a premature death. Also, in my opinion, you lose the "it's just a beta" defense when you charge money for unfinished or buggy content.

 

On topic, I agree with the points OP made throughout the thread. I also feel that, regardless of the quality of the RNG, having more of it is not the way to go. They should think of implementing a token system like WoW where you get a set amount of tokens for completing a mission, or, even better, give you the ability to exchange whatever random drop you got (and don't need) for a set amount of tokens. This way, you'll actually have something to plan towards, without losing out on that wonderful feeling of getting lucky with the loot roulette.

I dont think that ur thoughts will help u resist fact that they can do antyhing that they want while their project is in beta state, and i think it will be always in beta state(look at Dota 2 in example). Beta = fk the LAW. Players have no rights = developers earn money without any problems. Simple as that.

I am not trying to say the developers are bad but yea update 8 has kinda made it that no one actually does new missions anymore because you need to farm defense missions to get there. Its kinda made this game boring because a lot less people are playing because it has all just come to farming and you need players to farm some missions.

Hello there, I'm rather new, but I feel convinced that this game should worth the invested time rather than the invested money. (yeah I know I'm a grand master)

 

If this game begins to feel like a grind fest, it will disgust a lot of people.

 

I also agree that devs should earn money, as it's a free to play. But I think they will handle it in a few days.

yes, i understand that, and what i was saying, is they need that rarity because items need to be more exclusive then simply whoever is willing to pay a couple dollars for it.

 

The thing is, as badly as this screws over the people who paid good money for hundreds of keys, it screws over people who don't pay worse. People are making hundreds of runs without reward, and this is people who didn't have to grind for the keys. I feel for the people who are farming for the keys, because not only do they have to contend with miniscule drop rates for the keys, but also the rigged RNG within the void missions. These people aren't just doing to have to do 100+ runs of the void missions to get their gear, they're going to have to do maybe 5-10 key farming missions for each of those runs. So we're perhaps talking 1000+ mission runs for a f2p player to get a Latron Prime. This is not an acceptable situation either.

I totally agree with you, i dont mind contributing with a lil money for game development, because i like this game, getting a founder pack, buying void keys, etc.. but i think it is wrong what they are doing with those drop rates, is if like they dont care about the people who is showing them support as long as they make money, also the prices for platinum are a bit excesive... just saying... they should care more about the people that show them support, like not to give us everything but at least deacent drop rates and prices.

if the entire reason you're playing the game is to get an extremely rare item, it should be a lot of work. If you enjoy playing the missions and not just the loot, then playing a lot of missions isn't such a bad thing. Also I haven't paid a dime and i have already unlocked Frost Prime and Reaper Prime a couple days since the patch? So i disagree with your assessment that free to players are getting screwed. Granted i have met and befriended people through this game that are Grand Masters and have spent a ton of money through the game including many void keys; but the point still stands that your own keys aren't the only way you're going to get through missions. Stop being a whiny $#*(@ and maybe others will ask you to go in void missions with their keys.

 

The possibility of being both extremely lucky and extremely unlucky is the draw of the loot system. If people didn't like that excitement there would be no reason not to have a very fixed reward for every single mission. I heard someone got blueprints from stalker on 3 out of the 4 times they have seen him, lucky bastard. I haven't seen anything drop from stalker in the many times i've seen him, thats just part of the game.

The thing is : Randomness should be controlled in some way. Like increasing chances each time you don't drop a thing, for example. Pure randomness isn't extremely interesting for a player, since it's actually linked to pure luck. So yeah, some will be extremely lucky, and it will be great for them. And some others will enter the pit of despair and play the game 10 times more for nothing.

If the life is'nt fair, that shouldn't be applicable to any interesting game.
