An exoskeleton-armor designed to be a tight fit to increase mobility and retain its armor like qualities. So the Tenno could simply be humans trained in the art of ninjutsu, kendo, karate, and kendo that use the Warframe Suit to enchanted their abilities, Much like the wearer of the nano suit. I also feel that the Warframe bonds with its wearer on a much more deeper level. It integrates with its host into a symbiotic relationship. The grineer are human who used cloning to reproduce and In return their genes became useless due to the gene pool disintegration (learned that from Star Trek). So it can be that before the warframe users were put into cryo stasis they were once the same species and from the same planet. That makes some sense They do bear the lotus symbol and it is a good possibility that the grineer keep the prisoners to use their genes to expand their own so they don't die out.
