So as the title says, what are daggers for? For now i have only the ceramic, while heat is crafting, hoping to get the sweet fire jump atk as the heat sword. As far as i can tell, there is no advantage is using a ceramic dagger over the default Skana, except for the different animation; also i think dagger's range is a little lower that the skana

Yes, they are in with some minor differences but mostly as a stance/visual variety thing. Because the different attack animations actually matter there are definitely subtle targeting/hit differences... our intent is to push them further apart for better roles.

What will they be pushed towards? Finisher/stealth weapons? Something that strikes fast and crits on the first hit, but is then terrible in prolonged combat?

Good to know.

I havent bothered to craft any because I'd heard they didnt do much yet.

daggers=smaller and less cartoony than the long swords.

The swords in Warframe arent big enough or outlandish enough to really be called cartoony.

The axe and the hammer are another story..lol..but I like them as well.
