Azjhoolies
So I did some thinking with my clanmates a while ago, and I've come up with some kind of drunken topsy turvy interpretation for the Tenno. So, we all know the Tenno are old, long dormant Space Ninja's, aye? Well, I think the Lotus could be manipulating them for her/their own gain, or to destabilise the solar system. Lotus never reveals anything about herself nor the people she may represent, so it wouldn't be inaccurate to say she is withholding information and news from the Tenno (who are fresh out of stasis). A good example of this is in how you have to fight the Corpus. The Corpus are never really described as an evil faction. Just as Merchants. The only real reason the Tenno fight them is because Anyo is selling Pods, and the Warframe's do it to rescue their compatriots. The Corpus don't do that simply because they can, they do it because it's money. That's what the Corpus are, Merchantile people with guns and robots for protection and enforcement. The Tenno are never told anything in regards to enemy motivations, aside from the immediate things, IE, not being given the whole side of the story. Another example is in the things Lotus commands you to do. An example is in killing Tyl Regor. He is a Grinner of Science, not like Krill or De Thaym. All he was doing was trying to help his species overcome their cloning induced crippling disabilities, in a way, you could say that's a benevolent thing to do. And Lotus ordering the Tenno to kill him isn't helping them in any way, as the Grineer use technology to overcome their disabilities, so all Tyl's research would mean is that they were not dependant on tech to survive. All killing Tyl would do is stop them from needing tech to be effective, which is hardly a gain, since their performance with technological aid is comparable to a pure, undamaged Grineer. all Lotus is doing is telling the Tenno to bully the Grineer. Even Captain Vor isn't stated as doing anything particuarly wrong. He merely suspected (not confirmed) as owning Orokin artifacts. Lotus just wants him to die because she/they want said artifacts for personal use. Which brings me to my final point Most of our missions revolve around acquiring things. Data packets, artifacts, etc, none of these things are ever explained to us. We never get to make use of them, either, so the question is, what is Lotus doing with them? They could be stockpiling them for future use when the Tenno get wise, or they could be haressing their power for use in some unseen project. This is all a load of dribble from a mildly hungover Englishman, so you don't have to pay it any mind, but if you do, I reckon that'd be just super. Shion963
https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/48613-tyl-regor-is-a-nice-guy/ IMHO the Grineer Empire are bent on conquering the entire Origin System and get their grubby mitts on ALL the Orokin techs. If he successfully fixes the Grineer's genetic degradation, they'd have a whole army of perfect gene clone soldiers. Tenno, Corpus and Infestation goes under Grineer boots, and Origin System goes bye-bye. I like to believe that the Tenno are like Diablo-verse's Priests of Rathma. Gotta uphold dat Balance. :/
Argoms
Why does morality have to be so black and white? Each faction is their own special kind of A******. We just happen to be playing the tenno. Edited May 28, 2013 by Argoms
lilme3333
Vast in numbers, the Grineer have expanded their vile empire from Earth outward to all sectors of the solar system. Once the Grineer rediscovered cloning technology, they seized control of Earth through sheer numbers. While they may be at the height of power, the Grineer army is in bodily decay and their features are increasingly primitive as a result of continuous cloning. As such, the Grineer are forced to use technology as a crutch for their genetic deterioration. An ideology of hate and discrimination towards the Tenno continues to drive the Grineer forward in the face of inevitable dissolution.
