Does poly restriction still 5000 for Nidus and Khora ?

Because Nidus default helmet exceed twice the limite and for Khora, it's less a problem but increasing the limit would allow much more interesting design with the different forms.

It does for Nidus, "Hello! Yes, you still have to stay within the 5k triangle budget for Nidus helmets. Thankfully, you can get away with very simple geo on the backsides of moving parts. Don't be fooled by the default helmet triangle count!"

Would need to ask [DE]Syncrasis about Khora as that post was made before she released.

Thanks for the answer.
If Nidus with his moving helmet don't have different restrictions, so I doubt Khora does :c

Today I made custom wallpaper for Wallpaper Engine with Warframe theme. I used animation which currently is background for Warframe's official facebook page here - https://www.facebook.com/PlayWarframe/

Is what I did illegal and I should delete this or is it okay if I specify that the owner of that animation is Digital Extremes and I'm using it as just fan-based thing?

Is Tennogen ever gonna see another release of items to play with? I can't speak on their behalf as I am not a creator but from what I have seen some Tennogen creators are rather displeased that there's been a lack of new assets to look into. As a consumer of Tennogen I also agree with their sentiments. I feel it's too limited/restricted and would love to see more weapons and weapon types become availible. Right now it does feel like a rather reglected branch of Warframe. Which I suppose I should applaude DE for not focusing on what makes the most money but at the same time I feel it's focused too little.

As it has been for a while now, the only new assets creators have been able to get has been Warframes, and I also appreciate the speed of porting them into Tennogen for usage I must also stress that many players want more than just new Warframe skins all the time. Consumer and Creator alike.

I feel a bit guilty writing this last part but if it is being considered or going to be reconsidered I'd like to see the Miter get some love. One of my favourite weapons and most hated looking weapon.

What is the preferred method of texturing in Warframe Tennogen, is it

Specular/Gloss workflow or Metalness/Roughness workflow?

I ask because I notice some shiny metal on tennogen items dont reflect as much.

Any other info to make metals shinier would be great, thanks in advance!

Either workflow will work for TennoGen items.

I would suggest using Metalness/Roughness since the Tennogen tool requires a roughness texture. Make sure metal materials are a dark gray to black on the roughness texture and white on your specular texture.

@ArsonGear
Spec/gloss works just as well but uses a roughness texture (inverse of gloss). Internally both workflows are used, it's up to creator preference. I don't recommend pure black on roughness, as it makes the highlights too small and bright. On metal this also means the player tinted color will have less spread over the surface.

If you're using Painter, you can download our export presets for both workflows here https://www.warframe.com/steamworkshop/help/index.php?page=substance-painter-shader

The guideline says :

I think it's an error and it's supposed to be 3250 for single weapons and 7500 for dual wielded, so just report the issue.

I think it's 7500 x1 and 3250 x2. Single weapons are often bigger and more complex than dual-wielded weapons.

Oh, you're right. I thought "dual wielded" means "hold with 2 hands" and so that larger weapon where the dual wielded one while sword, dagger, etc... were the single wielded.

Could we please get the ability to choose ability FX regardless of Deluxe/Prime so long as we own them?

I got the Rhino Scarab skin a while ago but I'd much perfer using the Deluxe Iron Skin as opposed to Default and Prime variants.

So without giving any of mine ideas away, does someone (maybe from DE directly) know of Limitations concerning the Tenno-Gen? since we already have things like chopped of heads etc. as available decoration (Like the Provvok ) are they "acceptable" for Tenno-Gen items?

Since the game is rated 18+ (at least last time I checked where I live) are there any taboos that we can't cross or are creators Free to use whatever they like?

And if there are any what exactly are they?

I uploaded 3 operator items to the workshop today, however I'm unable to make them visible.  The normal visibility options on the steam page are missing.  I've also tried making them public during the uploading process, however this hasn't worked either.

What I see on the workshop (missing Change Visibility drop down)

What I should see

Any Thoughts?

Whoop!  Figured out what he issue was.  I was uploading the zip file with an altered name TennoGenExport_ears.zip rather then just TennoGenExport.zip.  This means the nothing was actually being uploaded and it wouldn't let me set a visibility..  All sorted and reuploaded now.

DE will do the rig but if you have precise idea of what you want, you can always include some instrcutions to explain how you want them to do this.

You can always rig it yourself but I think DE will still do their own.

Since there are two highly potential Nidus candidates coming in this next round (Trying to get the point across it's not 100% confirmed) will we get the option to preview Nidus's look with/without varying stage of stacks/evolution before purchasing it? I'd say the same for other items like this but outside of folding syandanas I'm not sure if there is anything else like that.
