Also, if proccing (high level) enemies with contagion and then cleaning room with the miasma for double damage is supposed to be a valid tactic, she needs more durability. I am talking 400-500 base armor. DERebecca almost got the crap beaten out of her Saryn by the Lev 40 Bobmard in the Devstream, which illustrates my point nicely.

What ? EB is a Pure Buff to the frame there nothing to complain about!

Mesa and now Saryn both gutted, they WERE Dps frames and now are just another mediocre frames that you can play solo.

No one wants gimped frames in a group other than a PUG.

What are you talking about..? Mesa gutted? Doing 10k crit damage in peacemaker is mediocre? *sees ash prime icon* ohhhh i get it.

Agreed and that was one single enemy. contagion in itself will ensure saryn players die more often buy the pure design on the skill.

 

Molt need to be able to hit enemies that shoot at it or it will only ever be useful against the infested and then only if it draws aggro.

 

DEs decision to changed a ranged caster into a melee kamikaze dot "specialist" will kill the frame.

 

I for one has no plans to be a damn kamikaze rush in die a buch S#&$ frame. When i play saryn i want to be a ranged caster frame.

 

contagion and the rework of molt destroy that concept completely

 

I dont mind the rework itself what i do mind is that i am forced to become a kamikaze frame that has neither the durability nor the crowd control or the energy to pull that off.

 

contagion has to go and be replaced by something that is actually viable and that does not break the flow of the frame completely.

Saryn build without molt augment just asks for this. Tankyness problem solved till the +70~.

Sad thing is DE will likely ignore the displeasure with the rework and release it but ohhh boy if we beg for a year or two maybe she'll actually get a good bloody rework

Because, oh boy it's fun to facetank everything without any CC just to waste all of your energy for a single group of enemys.

Their body language said it all on the devstream.  It was almost like it was painful for them to watch Saryn in action.  On the plus side maybe this will spur some drastic tweaking before release.  Synergy is pointless if you have to spend all of your energy to do it every time.  Contagion has to go instead of trying to turn it into nothing more than a synergy trigger.

This rework feel lazy tbh, if you want to rework a frame fine but do it like you did with Excal. A ground up rework where every ability get touched up looked on. This band aid "lets nerf it but hide it behind a rework" will not do anything else but kill this frame the same if did with Mesa "oh I always wanted to play a stationary turret in Warfame!" (thanks but my gun is better) You want to remake something then REMADE IT FORM GROUND UP.

why to nerf ember? she is not too op as her damage sucks vs high lvl armor enemies (lvl40+ etc)

All about farming potential so you don't need to do high level enemies.  A few Embers can mass murder Grineer on Draco for example, and easily sustain energy.

Well it was a low duration build. I'm pretty sure watching a Loki with 12% duration would be even more painful :'D

Already higher burst than the max possible dmg now for saryn (13,228.4 at max strength and min duration)

Higher damage, but not higher burst when you factor the time to complete the combo.  There is also the issue of much reduced energy efficiency to pull this damage off.  Don't get me wrong, we'll see how it plays out on live, but people pretending it is a buff need to look again.

 

[edit] and if, as above, if it was a finisher..., well then gg.

That was actually Nikana's finisher attack.

 

I looked at the video three times and i don´t think it was a finisher animation. I don´t even think that a finisher would be mechanical possible in this situation.

 

I´m not sure though^^

right now: press 4, do a ton of damage, move on. Time spent under enemy fire: 3-4 seconds maximum

 

after rework: press 1, press 3, Melee, [optional for more damage: cast 2 and cast 1 on the Molt (takes time too), Cast 4 (castanimation has you unable to move or defend yourself), wait for the enemys to die, gather energy to repeat. Time spent under enemy fire:10-15 seconds

 

what will happen in endgame: cast 1, cast 2, try to melee, die in a storm of lead and rockets unleashed at you by the enemys

Whatever, whoever said Saryn was a little too squishy for Contagion to be safe in most situations:

 

 

 

I say Contagion oughta have some sort of poison armor applied. Extra armor and enemies that melee strike you are poisoned and staggered, opening them up to finishers. It needs some defensive upsides if it's asking you to run into enemies' faces.
