Substance Painter Creation Question

Hey everyone, I seem to have gotten the hang of using substance painter for painting warframes but when it comes to weapons... that's where my mapping goes crazy. If anyone out there knows.. How do you keep the program using normal maps that are 1024x512 or that sort of rectangular shape. Whenever I go to export, regardless of what texture size i've imported, it always exports as a square texture. This is perfectly fine for warframes as they all use square textures, but for the weapons we were supposed to use half squares from what I read. 

 

So the question is.. How do you export maps to be less than square?
