Collecting Datamass Mission . Datamass Vanish ~

I was just playing a time event in Mercury to collect some data mass. At frist it said to colelct 3 . so I collected two and droped them before advancing ahead to collect the last one . After combining them I headed to the check point. But It said I needed 4 datamass. SO I left the three datamass at the extraction point to make the trip faster but the funny thing is the 4th data mass obejective mark vanished. SO I went back to the extraction point where I left the 3 datamass .... and they were'nt there. I couldnt complete the mission so I left T T
