What about a "plaguespreader" kind of Warframe?

I was thinking of the mats you get from Infested areas, what if there was a Warframe that specialized in that kind of stuff? For example, killing an enemy with a skill would cause you to raise that enemy as a zombified "bomb" , that would run to the nearest enemy and explode like a Runner / Charger (forgot which one of those explodes)

no. the warframe have no control over the technocyte virus. thats jsut an unfounded speculation/theory that's been amking the circles.

They have no control YET, it has never been said that they would never be able to control it to SOME degree.

Its a neat concept for a future frame though. Could even do some kind of pseudo mystical BS to fit in with the space ninja theme.

Something like "Harbinger" a more robed and jagged winged frame that specializes in drawing power from enemy deaths, raising them from the dead, turning them on each other, or plague style damage attacks.

Lots of cool themes that can be explored there.

I agree! Lets hope this makes it into the game :)

Rasing enemies from the dead is a bit tricky as they do tended to get bisected and/or decapitated. But a frame that specializes in battlefield manipulation via dealing damage would be interesting. An example of an ability this frame might have is sends a ranged attack to one point then creates a cloud of poison/acidic gas, this ability could be used to force enemies out of cover or set a trap in a area were enemeis will mostlikely head.

Another way to go about that theme would perhaps be a variant of Volt affecting the environs. The Harbinger type is the warframe who controls the technocyte virus (due to new research, deus ex machina, what have you) and instead of raising enemies he controls the battlefield by literally reshaping it. Cover the ground in grasping infected nanobots, Infect an enemy causing them to release a mutated zombie thing when they die, or perhaps cause spikes or tentacles to come out of the walls and attack enemies. Lots of fun variations you can do with this sort of theme.

I would like to think they keep poison as a seperate effect, but the infected stuff in game has a lot of poison so maybe not.

I really like this idea! Lets hope something like this makes it into the game, if it would, I would instantly shout "TAKE MY MONEY" and throw euros at the screen :P

The necromancer type of Warframe will bring me so much joyyy ( my RL job is pretty close to necromancer, hehe ).

Poison isn't a viable option for fast-paced game like the current Warframe. A power to manipulate enemy and corpse usage like a puppet master is better suit the gameplay. Draw essence from the dead and manipulate it into healing/weapon fill the niche nicely.

Not sure about minion skills, but something like runners there could be. Like one the skills you have to use to finish off the enemy and then it corrupts the target so that it seeks for enemies and blows up on em. There could be some aoe debuffs for this warframe too.

Interestingly, I had an idea about this just yesterday. One of two threads I posted the concept on seems to have mysteriously disappeared, however..anyways, copy-pasting my idea for a Necromancer warframe over.

Name - Plague

1. Plaguespreader (25 Energy) - Plague launches a projectile of the technocyte plague, dealing damage to organic targets hit and gradually mutating them into Infested upon their death. The Infested are non-aggressive towards Plague, their master. Plaguespreader can also be interact with corpses that haven't disintegrated, ressurrecting the corpse as an Infested. Mechanical targets will be immune to the effects of the Infestation, but their inner machinery will be disabled by the organic matter and will malfunction for a short period of time. If Plaguespreader comes into contact with an Infested unit, they will submit to their new master and come under Plague's command.

2. Undeath's Embrace (50 Energy) - The Technocyte Virus within the suit goes into a frenzy, simulating protective growths on Plague's suit that reduce damage taken up to a limit. The growths die when they soak up any damage received or until their lifespan expires. Any Infested under Plague's command gain extra health and deal extra damage.

3. Undead Mercy (75 Energy) - Plague dispenses his own form of mercy by sending the Infested under his command into a suicidal frenzy, causing them to charge any enemy in side and latch on, exploding shortly after and dealing massive damage porportionate to their health remaining.

4. Dead March (100 Energy) - Undeath is a beautiful thing indeed. Plague invokes his ultimate ability, afflicting enemies with Plaguespreader over a large radius. All Infested under his command gain Undeath's Embrace and Undead Mercy.

Only works on dead enemies who haven't had their heads blown off or who haven't been sliced in half. in other words, only dead that are still in one peice(not that many) It also wouldn't work on corpus units or anything mechanichal. so the whole raising the dead thing isn't very useful. but mutating/infecting things that are still alive could work, and would also make more sense as the technocyte plague shouldn't be able to raise the dead anyway. The mutated would not be undead, they would be mutated. They should not give off a necromancer vibe, they are still warframes. Besides that, I really like the Idea. The users of the plague armor could also be outcasts from the rest of the tenno (storyline wise), maybe even their own faction? This would be due to a number of reasons, fear, moral concerns, limited knowledge on the plague, etc. There is also the thing to think about that this would be a new warframe, while all the other ones are ancient in design. This would mean that shields would be lower, and the suit would be bulkier due to limited technology. The plague warframe player would also be relying more heavily on abilities beacause of this.
