perfectStranger
Since I've been changing mouse i have been "enjoying" a terrible sluggish mouse micro movements effects, and it took me a while to track and fix the problem. Having set "Enhanced Pointer Precision" from windows, disabled V-Sync from in game options the problem persisted. From my mouse drivers i could control the dpi, the polling speed settings and another acceleration toggle (I think this is redundant or the same with the "Enhanced Pointer Precision" windows control panel option).Changing dpi settings didn't help, it just needed the in-game mouse sensitivity settings to be adjusted therefore.Enabling or disabling V-Sync had no perceptible effects. But in the end i noticed that my polling speed was set normally high (500+) and so i tried to reduce this, and with my great surprise i noticed the mouse movements got way better, and so i set the polling rate to the minimum. It appears that Warframe simply can't handle a high polling rate from the mouse pointer. UPDATE: the polling rate is fine, indeed i tried disabling any acceleration options both from the mouse drivers utility software both from the windows control panel option and i noticed the mouse pointer movements are still being accelerated in Warframe, and the control is better whether the polling rate is being set to a high or a low value. So the high polling rate problem was due to double layers of acceleration detection (in-game, drivers) over-zealously decoupling micro movements into 0 pixel movements. TL;DRDisable any acceleration options from outside the game, there is already one ingame built layer that is always on. For reference i'm using a Logitech G-600 with latest Logitech gaming Software utility/drivers. Now my good to go settings for Warframe are:DPI: 1800 or 2400Polling Rate: 125 1000 Acceleration: Yes No Windows Control Panel -> Mouse Properties -> Pointer optionsEnhance pointer precision: On If i set the polling rate higher, with drivers pointer movements acceleration option activated, when i try to micro move the mouse it would result in the pointer lagging behind the movement, like there was another layer of hard-coded acceleration detection already built into the game that would reduce the actual mouse movements being translated to the pointer. Reducing the polling rate is like i'm zooming in the scale of its movements detection, so the game will finally pick up i did move the mouse, even if just a little, but if the polling rate is too high then the game translate such micro movements into 0 pixel movements, thus stalling the pointer on the screen. This behavior happens only in Warframe, my mouse works normally with every other application or game so far.[NOTE to MOD]: Please remove PSA from title.[uPDATE]: not the polling rate but a double layer of acceleration detection Edited December 12, 2015 by perfectStranger
Kratos
I would remove PSA from the title, to avoid conflict. But nice find either way.
