Gift Card Holiday Special Problems

My boyfriend just bought a $50 gift card from Walmart to pay for platinum, in order to get the +50% bonus from Warframe for doing so, thanks to the holiday special. However, whenever he selects the 1 thousand platinum package, the window comes up saying that he's trying to purchase the 75 platinum package for $5. Is anyone else having this difficulty?

I tested it. Yes it shows 75 plat instead of 1000. Also tried the $20. That seemed to work fine.

Yeah, every other purchase system works fine. It's JUST the gift card purchase for 1K that fails and switches to 75 instead.

So dont use that gift card for a lower purchase. You give up the remaining balance once you do.

Wait... WHAT? You can't use the same card multiple times to make different purchases? Even if it has more than sufficient currency on the card to do it?

I'm having this problem, too. I was about to make an impulse purchase of a $50 gift card. Unfortunately this feature wasn't adequately tested, and it's trying to sell me the $5 pack instead.

 

I run a QA team, and I gotta say this is pretty bad, especially considering there's a special promo regarding gift cards running right now.

Tried redeeming a B&N card (I buy all my books off Amazon kindle), and it kept throwing up "1000: We could not verify that brand, card number, and PIN combination." Sad boyz There goes the plat bonus :c
