Holiday Wishlist & A Happy New Year!

A stamina bar for Melee would be an excellent addition to Warframe for PVP. I'm not saying a stamina bar for parkour, I'am strictly speaking about Melee. Blocking physical attacks is a necessary element for Warframe based on the fact that if we are able to block a wall of Fire from an Eximus we should be able to block another Warframes Melee. Especially in the Dojo where clans may have a ranking system which requires Melee prowess. And Energy should by no means be used in this system because it does not protain to said melee stamina bar. An example of this would be Chivalry. And blocking should enable a stagger effect. Blocking physical hits would not be Overpowered because the longer you were to block the more your stamina will decrease. And elemental effects should in no way shape or form activate unless a solid hit is made. Meaning the weapon must make contact with the opposing frame. And for Conclave a way to make this system fair is that the longer you block against bullets and other projectiles is that again the bar will decrease per hit. PvP in Warframe is wonderful but it only lasts a few short seconds. This would add so much realism and more strategy to the game and allow players to criticaly analyze the battle versus the regular "Hockey Brawl" PvP currently Presents.

I remember this was around before for rare materials, was probably taken out because it was hard to see it. i guess they can always use those beacons of light though.

The models could be disproportional or brighter or something.

Happy new year and a merry Christmas too, DE!

 

My wishlist would be:

 

1. Trade system overhaul (so I can play Warframe while trades are done and not Trade Simulor 2016)

 

2. Better enemy AI (so that enemies not longer pretend to be skeets while I shoot them)

 

3. Idle Crewmans while not alerted (so a few of them mop floors and need to run to a locker to get their Dera :P)

1. Revision of the loot system

- Void mission reward tables are horrendously diluted, especially at higher levels - Keys, Fusion Cores, Orokin Cells, etc.

- Endless mission types are favored because the virtually unlimited number of enemies makes grinding for specific drops more mindless; simply obliterating the star chart won't remove loot caves, just shift them to the next viable node

- No way to predict if Rare Mob X will even spawn in a given mission, much less drop what you want

- Frames with "meta" powers (Desecrate, Pilfering Swarm) generally get pidgeonholed into specific loot-oriented roles, often to the exclusion of other playstyles, as a bandaid on the grind; case in point, Desecrate is presently the most-used ability in the game

- Sorties provide one chance per day of frame parts in a heavily-diluted pool
- If you want to tone down lootcaves, provide viable alternatives to collection of resources or mods beyond mindlessly grinding; for instance, Salvage missions where players collect (giving more opportunity to appreciate tilesets), or Casinos where players ante resources.
- Transmutation is a gamble, and players can't understand how their inputs influence the output (especially since the bottom line of the system is always RNG); could be a way to "research" mods you don't have through more effort than standard killing

- Cryotic is an excellent example of fair resource distribution: predictable and determined by player skill rather than button-mashing. Excavations give players a reason to revisit, unlike Sabotages or Deceptions.

- Baro (as a general concept) provides an interesting model for vendors; if stock turnover was faster, this model could be extended to additional vendors selling rare (but never unique) items

 

2. Give each melee weapon type a purpose

- Melee weapons in general feel underwhelming compared to firearms, in no small part because of Multishot mechanics and additional ranks on Serration/Hornet Strike causing them do deal more damage upfront; combo multipliers build up slowly and are easily broken by knockdowns and stuns you expose yourself to at point-blank. Blocking attempts to equalize melee against the ranged advantage of firearms, but only applies when you aren't attacking.

- Middle-of-the-pack weapons are particularly overshadowed in every way; there's no way to build a weapon that has unexceptional stats in everything, compared to one with an extreme crit chance (Berserker) even with low damage, for example

- All weapon types have the exact same Charged damage, Channeling efficiency/damage and Combo rate/damage starting modifiers, and only 3 presets for Blocking reduction/reflection modifiers; untapped potential for weapon variation, beyond crit/status, damage and range

- Scythes have long suffered since the removal of Charged attacks, and even since their return for the above reason. Compare the stats of Orthos Prime to Hate or Reaper Prime and it either matches or beats every one. Anku manages to outshine every weapon in its category due to its strong supplementary stats and Puncture damage, despite the rarity of the other weapons.

- Many status weapons, like Silva & Aegis, feel disappointing to use due to penalties in other categories (such as standard damage) to make up for their status chance; note that Mios averts this, likely meaning some weapons are penalized simply by virtue of being innately elemental

 

3. Revisions to "underperforming" frames

- Loot rerolls aside, Desecrate's effectiveness is entirely determined by RNG (leading to long lockouts from repeat casts), and provides no synergy with the rest of Nekros' kit (before augments, that is); his Shadows can't pick up health orbs, and generally require AI improvements

- Limbo's abilities are redundant of one another, and arbitrary limitations on the Rift Plane (ie Banished players can't hack Grineer consoles while Banished Grineer can) make it non-intuitive to use

- Oberon's Renewal is difficult to time due to its limitations: You can't precast it because it falls off when the target is at maximum health, casting it reactively is often too late due to the travel time, the bleedout reduction doesn't apply if it reaches a target who is bleeding out, and the inverse duration on the healing effect is counterintuitive to the straight-scaling bleedout reduction

- Mag excels at Corpus missions (as well as one can when Nullifiers are available enemies) but suffers against other enemy types; Bullet Attractor has a high cost for a single-target effect, Pull flings targets in random directions and Crush provides nothing to her kit beyond bypassing Pull's line-of-sight limitation.

- Tornado and Tentacle Swarm are unpredictable

- Damaging abilities without any scaling typically fall off before mid-level (ie Psychic Bolts), and those providing status are often redundant within their own kits (ie Shock vs Overload); caster frames often suffer as a result if they lack other meaningful utilities

1. Dual hand flamers secondary weapon (cause priorities)

2. More love for Maggie (Mag warframe)

3. arm mounted weapon, that stays on arm when holstered (have you noticed how wish one an three can be dealt with using only one weapon? Hint, hint)

I second the hand flamers. 

There is at least a couple of arm mounted weapons.  I believe the Gamcor stays holstered on the arm.

Dear Santa:

All I want for Christmas is

1)Limbo to have a nice rework, such as...

-Banish can be rapid-fire

-Rift Walk has no cast time

-Rift Surge is removed and turned into a passive(If not, then atleast extend the duration to longer than cataclysm/Banish)

-If Rift Surge is removed and turned into a passive, then replace it with some Rift-based CC. (I'm spitballing something like "Rift Pulse")

-Cataclysm gains some CC. Like a Stagger(not knockdown) on cast, and then something like a 5 second accuracy debuff on everything else that enters the AoE

2)Kubrows and Sentinels having either a toggle aggressive/passive mode in the gears menu

-Or if not, a Kubrow mod along the lines of "Docile", to prevent standard attacks(Debatable if it prevents other aggressive kubrow precepts)

3)For Zephyr to get a rework/overhaul

-Main suggestion is to change Tail Wind so that it turns the game into Archwing mode/UI except with current equips.

-This could also change her other 3 skills while in the previously mention mode, in a similar way to Equinox(1 Toggle, 3 Unique to each mode)

2016 wishlist

 

1: Better integration of archwing into the core game. (it feels like a chore at this point! :<)

2: More reason for Mastery.

3: Augment specific slot. Integration of certain augments into base powers, better augments released.

Loki's invisibility to last longer. Took a break from playing and just came back. Kind of sad at the major nerf when you just introduced another frame that can stay invisible forever.

I would like; a PvE option added to Dark Sector Conflicts, a hard cap on taxes and a major overhaul and upgrade to the dojo/clan mechanic.

Dear... Things.

I'd wish for one thing. A new possibility for discovering lore besides the codex scanner. Archeology. Think of it as a mixture of spy and excavation missions where you have to dig up caves and retrieve data. I'm not good in describing things I'm sorry.

Here's a poem instead:

My Wishlist is:

1) Throwing grenades.

2) Hand to hand combat (like a punch by fist or a knee, while you holding a primary or secondary weapon)

3) More lore about Grineer :)

Hmmm.  three wishes. Thats a toughie! Picking only three, I mean. Lets say mine are in no specific order..

 

1. More loadout and appearance slots. I've got too many frames I'd like to keep loadouts for, and too many color schemes I want to hang onto for just A, B, and C.

 

2. Ability to replay quests. Especially ESPECIALLY The Second Dream.

 

3. Screenshot mode/photostudio in the ship and/or dojo. It would be fun to be able to take neat pictures of our frames! Maybe even a way to take picstures with fancy rendering like in our profiles.

3 wishes?

  • Well, first and foremost I wish you all a merry Christmas or whatever it is you celebrate. Have fun and stay healthy! ^^
  • Weighted RNG in missions where you have to put in a considerable effort in time  and/or are otherwise limited (*hint* Sorties are the biggest offender atm) is the one thing that really grinds my gears. We all know that if there are parts you have to combine to get what you want, then it is the lowest of the drop chances that actually counts.
  • Keep doing what you're doing and continue to revisit older Warframes, especially the ones that aren't all that popular. I really think you did a good-to-great job so far on those, and to me that's a big part of what makes this game so enjoyable.

 

P.S. Keep up the great work, I think it's exceptional what you guys are doing here.

1. Reduce Forma Market Price of 20p down to 5p, increases possibility to buy forma and much easier to gain 5p via trade chat for 100% F2P or lazy ppl then to gain 20p

 

2. Primary and Secondary slot which add mod points like stances or aura

 

3. Revert Void Credit Reward back to original form and complete removal of Credit Caches to free up drop tables

 

4. More Neural Sensor Drop Location

 

5. Rework on Focus System

 

6. Syndicate Sells Fusion Cores?

 

7. More Frame Reworks

 

8. Weapon Balancing to make some actually more useful (like all sniper ignoring grineer armor hurhur)

 

9. Grineer Armor Scaling?

 

10. 20-100p from Daily Login?! (this is pushing my wishes :P)

11. Invasion Rework (1 run = reward instead of 3, except for rare reward as forma/potatoes)

- a spider themed warframe based on anansi the spider

(wish 1 ) Buff my boar prime , looks are going to waste...

(wish 2 ) Make wukongs second ability have no delay so that it works instantly when the ability has been cast

(wish 3 ) Take recources out of the void drop tables (in any tower (meaning survival and defence)) and replace them with prime parts.

    These sort of threads are a lot like cats to me. I talk to them and tell them how I feel, I'm not sure the cat/thread cares or even understands what/why I'm saying. But I hope it does and I speak from the heart none the less.

 

So my three wishes:

 

 * Give Loki his passive, and with it grant him a buff to his 1 & 3.  For more details there's heaps of posts on it, he doesn't need a rework, just a buff.

 

 * Give Archwing it's own little team like you did with PvP. It's still got so much potential, but the focus of the main WF team will only ever touch on Archwing every now and then, It's own (all be it small) team is really the only way to make it see it's potential.

 

 * Keep listening and talking to the community, it's your greatest strength over any other game company.
