Holiday Wishlist & A Happy New Year!

As a long time player I was literally brought to tears when I completed the Second Dream, all my time, money and life that I've put into the game had really payed off.

As for my three wishes for 2016?

1: New Game Modes for all types and tilesets.

I'd love to see a Archwing Endless Escourt mission where you have to escourt an endless wave of transports through a small level, and every transport transported you get a new reward. Or maybe an "Assault" game mode where you need to lead a big attack on a enemy base, destroying and completing a series of randomized objectives (like how there's random spy vaults, have 3 random tiles dedicated to 3 random objectives.)

2: Some really outlandish or strange weapons.

I'd love to see a Cold Damage Melee weapon or a Secondary Gun with a Portal Gun Alt Fire (My dream...).

3: More Themed Weapon Sets.

More groups of weapons designed aesthetically and gameplay wise around eachother, like the Boltor/Bolto/Boltaces.

I already know we're getting more Lore, Quests and Cinematics, but these 3 combined with those would complete 2016 Warframe for me. :)

Hmm my 3 wises

* I will send cheesecake if we could get an Obex prime

* Better AI on the Kubrows would be amazing.

*Please please please make Stalker be Hayden Tenno, I know that a big wish maybe just a new stance for Obex :P

1) Forge mode similar to Halo. Go to the Sanctuary, or something similar, and be able to make your own little maps using the tilesets that already exist. You can practice tilesets or just explore and find hidden things. Maybe allow us to invite friends. This could also be a practice area for certain missions and maybe even bosses.

2) Warframe comics. Preferably backstories on Grineer, Corpus, Infested, Bosses, Ancients, Orokin, etc etc. Maybe even backstories to the original Warframes such as the original Mirage and Limbo.

3) More backstories! I absolutely LOVED The Second Dream quest and want more like it. There doesn't even need to be a 'huge' reward like we got after TSD as long as the story is great.

A fix for the head snapping bug.

Basically, the player's head snaps to a specific angle (different for different mission types) when the warframe is facing a certain range of angles. It's been a problem since the face orientation according to camera direction was introduced, and it's my biggest wish of all to have it fixed.

Hey Tenno!

As many of you may or may not know, the last few weeks of the year is a bit of a slow time at DE (relatively speaking). Many of us are using up our untaken vacation hours before we ramp up for another year of Warframe. The support team and more continue to work like the heroes they are, and we owe them thanks for that.

Before heading out for the holidays we want to thank you for all the love and support this year. We are overjoyed with all the feedback you've given us after launching Update 18 - The Second Dream. It was incredible to see all players, veterans and new, experience what we have been working towards since 2012. You have all made this an unbelievable experience for all of us, and you continue to amaze us with your continuous support.

As we dim our Landing Craft and use our stockpiles of Alloy Plate to start up a comforting fire, we wish you a Happy Holiday Season… and more:

We wish for you to make a Wishlist of Warframe!

Yes, there have been countless constructive threads posted lately, and we don't want to lose the essence of these. What resonates with you as a Wish to carry forward into 2016? What little thing, big thing, new thing would have a spot on your list?

Try and be concise, pragmatic, and conscientious that everyone gets… let's say 3 Wishes (we'll mix genies and Santa).

We will be away from the office until 2016 but will be keeping an eye on everything just in case.

See you in the new year!

Merry Christmas Danielle, Oh and I also Told Doc after the stream that he missed his prize, I hope he contacted you Edited by (PS4)TheRainbowTurt1e

1. Remove Primed Fury from the game and buff normal Fury back to 60%. I'm not wasting my time and resources leveling a mod that will probably only give 55% when the original gave 60 before melee 2.0. It's actually really frustrating that the primed version even exists.

2. Rework channeling and the mods that go with it. The only time people really channel is for life strike. Every single melee weapon has a cost of 5 and a multiplier of 1.5. There are no channel based weapons with lower costs/higher multipliers because it seems like the channeling stats were blanket pasted onto every weapon. There's tons of melee weapons that could benefit from having increased channel damage. The mods are also detrimental to channel due to them having such a crippling affect on channeling.

I don't have a third so happy holidays.

Thanks for the awesome year DE, I look forward to seeing what you do with the coming year as well to make this game all the more expansive.

As for what I desire going into the next year :

1. Carrier's Vacuum (or a slightly scaled down variant) to become an innate effect for all companions

2. For the ties between game mechanics and cosmetics to be entirely severed (i'm looking at you arcanes)

3. The replacement of power negation/dispelling mechanics in the game, not only is this method tacky from a lore perspective but it is also quite imbalanced mechanic wise. (currently the balancing system for frames is their stats x abilties, where each mechanic plays off the other to make a functional balanced frame, take one of those aspects away without adjusting the other and everything just becomes a slot of random thoughtless numbers i.e - loki and valk, though pollar opposites in stats, are both arguably decent frames in many situation, take away their abilties however and valk is just a flat upgrade from loki)

Thanks DE and family members, all the same to you all as well and bless those still working Holiday Duty to maintain the ship through the end of the year.

And wow, three wishes. I'll stick to the format provided and intend to be as pragmatic as possible:

Small Thing: Not sure if this has already been implemented and I am just failing at the options menu, but on console our sprint options are toggle and hold. When we toggle we are ever-running after switching sprint "on" which isn't an issue now that stamina is gone but is there any way to alter this or add a third option that will disengage the sprint function once our Warframe comes to a stop or juimp? I like the convenience of the toggle options but the control afforded by the hold option is very useful for things like spy or rescue missions. Basically I want to have my cake and eat it too :D. This may sound petty but that's the smallest thing I could think of.

Big Thing: Rework Mag please. I've never used her and personally have no intention of it but she's a starter and possibly the first impression a lot of people will have of the game, especially people who just walk into the game not knowing anything about what it has to offer them farther down the line. I've heard good and bad things about her frame (different strokes for different folks) but if she's really in need a rework then she should get some love. When my girlfriend started this game and went ahead with Mag since she was the only female option, she cited some problems but I wasn't sure if that was because of Mag or because my girlfriend was new, however, once she got platinum and switched to Nyx she felt the game really started to click. Once again, I have no idea if Mag is really that lacking or even necessarily "bad" but next to Excal's super saiyan sword ultimate and Volt becoming a speed-force elemental, Mag definitely could use a "THAT IS AWESOME I WANT TO PLAY THAT" trait to keep people engaged at least long enough to unlock the solar system and experience what Warframe really has to offer them.

New Thing: I was working on a project and began looking at older Devstreams, there was once talk of a hall or section of what I'm guessing is the Strata Relay where older players could volunteer as Deputies of sorts and help new players get a feel for the game. I thought this was a very nice gesture since many other co-op games seem to shame new players for being new or "not possessing X endgame weapon".  While there are even people on here who hate Public Matchmade Games, Warframe's community has always been intrinsically helpful and definitely got me through my first month when I didn't even know what modding was for. If we are allowed to get very fancy with this, opening up a lesser version of the Simulacrum with play-weapons or even the Obstacle course for control calibrations would be a huge help for new players- but most importantly  it would also allow them to meet  one another in a non-judgmental environment and establish clan-mates/trading buddies/RL friendships. It's not so much about the older players carrying new players as much as it is just welcoming them into a friendly environment. and reminding them that the war is out there not in here.

Thanks again, have a Happy Holiday Season everyone.

First of thank you once again DE for all your hard work. The last few years I have learned a lot about the gaming industry, especially when it come to game developers. Most of what I learned was a tad heart breaking. And then a year and a half ago my roommate recommended Warframe. I tried it, got hooked, and then started getting invested in the community, forums, and learning more about how you guys do business. This investment helped restore my faith in game developers, and for that I can't thank you guys enough.

In regards to my wishlist, it's relatively simple but could be a big job

A) A proper lance or spear. I know the trident is coming out next year and that might fulfill my wish if the stance is implemented correctly, so there is that. (Let me be a Dragoon darn it.)

B) Zephyr rework, I have posted and commented in so many threads in regards to this I think I might be a tad stubborn. When I learned that Zephyr is among the 3 least favorite frames it only drove me harder to fight to get Zephyr the love she deserves. For reference there is those threads I am referring to.

C) A summoner frame, one that revolves around summoning up to three different companions with different abilities, and having powers that buff them, direct them, and use them to help your team. With Ivara out I know just how awesome and diverse a warframe can be, and this could be the natural progression to that.

D) I know this is cheating because it's a fourth wish, but just keep being awesome.

Happy Holidays DE! This was an amazing year for this game, and for me (found a new main I'm absolutely enamored with, Chroma, that of which I saw revealed when I went to TennoLive!!!). It was awesome to meet everyone at the TennoLive afterparty, and between that and all the devstreams, they've continually proven how much this game is a labor of love, and that makes me excited for the future....especially after this most recent and mind-blowing update. Thank you guys so much for crafting a game brimming with heart and soul!

On to my wishlist!

1.) I yearn for Archwing to get where I feel it needs to be. Affinity boosts are one of the only times I really play Archwing for extended periods of time, and I hate that since I do enjoy the gamemode, but the payoff just doesn't exceed my endless list of goals I'm pursuing in the core game. That's really my big complaint, leveling and rewards in Archwing. I would loooooove to see an Infested-theme Archwing/Arch-weapons though, I had my hopes up for that with The Jordas Precept, but oh well!

2.) Expanding upon Syndicates, for sure. I'd love more lore, more interaction between the different Syndicates, stuff like Syndicate Invasion-type missions, specific maps for each one and defense/exterminate missions and the such (huge stretch I'm sure, I know that a lot of dev time goes into any given map, but I can hope!), PvP modes where players from each Syndicate duke it out, really any substantial expansion of the Syndicates. One thing I'm sure will happen but I'll include anyway, Syndicate Melee weapons. And PLEASE, make the affinity gain interchangeable between sigils, I'm tired of my 13% gain Red Veil sigil, never really liked the way it looked, and I want so badly to be able to wear others and gain the same amount of affinity. Maybe they could work sort of like the lenses, except applied only to Syndicate sigils.

3.) Boss Reworks, already in the queue I'm sure, less of a wishlist item and more of a reminder. It hurts my soul to fight the Raptor when it could be a cooler and more inventive boss, maybe even the first Corpus Archwing one! Most of all, I just wanna see Kela de Thaym be the badass she was always meant to be, and most definitely the Twin Queens as well. Like said though, most of what I'm hoping for is in the works.

Merry Christmas!

Wishlist

1: Better stealth mechanics, and possibly some more stealth-oriented mods. Increase crouched movespeed, decrease visual detection range/angle, etc. I want to be able to play a stealth mission with my favorite frames. Loki is by far the most viable for stealth, but it just feels like cheating.

2: I realize that the grind is necessary for this game, but please look into making it less... soul-crushing. I'm fine with having grind in a F2P, but I want to have fun earning my gear through gameplay if I choose not to buy it.

3: A Tenno themed sword & board. Silva & Aegis is cool, and Ack & Brunt is awesome with a berserker build, love spinning through a mission with it, but I prefer the classic Tenno aesthetic.

I have one big wish.

A Space frame and a Time frame. Two separate warframes with separate 1-4 abilities. But when playing together all of their ability change and work in tandem. I've been thinking and working on the potentials moves for a couple days. Won't post it yet. Want it to be well thought out.

--- mag rework

--- volt rework

I wish everyone in the warframe community and to DE a merry christmas and a happy new year :D

Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas and a happy new year. c:

My Warframe Wishlist:

1) I REALLY want another weapon/armor/Weapon-Type/Enemy Contest. Really badly. Especially a WEAPON and or/weapon type contest
2) We really need next year to be event focused. To a degree. We need some more progression on lore of Alad, Grineer, all that before we progress on our own. We got our own Huge Lore reveal, lets have others(ESPECIALLY INFESTATION) have some more spotlight <3 Though figuring out what Warframes are would be amazing.
3) I most definitely do want some more innovative and unique stances and weapon types next year. Stuff that is VERY unique. Not just visually, but in gameplay wise and stance wise.

My personal lil Birthday/Christmas/New Year wish:

I really want my Fan-Concept to become a reality in game. Its very dear to my heart, and I love it so much. <3 Symbiote was its name. An Infested Medi-Gun that does damage as well as heal yourself and allies.

1 : More lore about the syndicates, the higher is your rank, deeper is the feeling of 'being in the syndicate' , syndicate HQ ? Special frames/skins ( ex : Secura Valkyr / Sancti Oberon ), specials stances, different playstyle ( ex : Red Veil w/ Exterminate / Assassination mission ), skins, skins and more skins ?

2 : More lore about Simaris

3 : A trip with Baro ki teer in his adventure in the void

My entire wishlist of anything I could ever want added or improved in Warframe could cover an entire page of a thread, so this is going to be tough, but I'll do my best to keep it short while still making my point:

Little Thing

I want a Specter/Follower/Companion/Ally command menu in the Utility menu, between Emojis and Gear. Something that lists out each one of my active specters, my companion, and any other such ally that could allow me to order them like how you can presently walk up to them and set follow or hold position. Maybe expand the list by adding commands such as Escort Target or Seek and Destroy.

It would just make giving out orders a lot easier, and may allow for positive changes such as ordering Kubrows or moving the Sentinel precepts to this command list instead of having it be a mod.

Big Thing

This is kind of a large thought, so I placed it in spoiler tags to save space, but for a quick summary:

I would like each faction to stop trying to be diverse, and to specialize in specific game-play types. By being specifically built for a specific kind of game-play each faction could more balanced and perfected for challenging different kinds of players, each tileset could be fixed to support each of the factions' focuses so that the devs have more control over what happens in a mission, and game-play niches such as Precision Weapons and Stealth could be built to counter certain factions and therefore have a definitive purpose in the game. As well other systems would benefit, for example the mod system could be used to adapt weapons to game-play types they're not useful in, instead of being the glorified upgrade tube it is now.

Grineer would be countered by Damage and Armor Penetration.

Corpus would be countered by Maneuverability and Slowing Effects.

Infestation would be countered by Increased Capacities (ie, more health and ammo) and Crowd Control.

Cephalons would be countered by Puzzle Solving.

Colonials would be countered by Stealth.

Sentient would be countered by Diversification.

Orokin would be countered by Mastery of every other game-play type.

I want each faction slowly, but surely, divided to focus on different game-play. Right now, fighting Corpus, Grineer, and Infested literally feels the same because I'm always fighting hordes and hordes of units. The majority of the time I don't even use stealth in Spies or Rescues, I literally just approach the mission with the same old, bull-headed tactic and it always works.

If each set of units, ie the factions, was geared towards specific game-play types, the game could make more use of all its little niche things, like stealth and precision weapons in a very practical manner. And then everything else could be built to support this, such as the mod system being changed so that instead of upgrading, mods would be used to adapt weapons not normally good at certain game-play to become proficient in it.

Tenno are supposed to be masters of war; right now, I only feel like I'm a master over fighting hordes of weaklings, and as such I feel very powerless. If I had to master things like breaking through and dominating Grineer armies, outrunning pursuing Corpus Proxies, quarantining the ever expanding Infested, solving complex Cephalon encryption, avoiding sparking outrage with the Colonies, and out-adapting the Sentient I would feel more like a master of war, instead of just a horde killer.

I want the warrior clones of the Grineer to be guarded under such durable armor, but be few enough in number, that my bows or snipers, and other high damage weapons, are the first things I think to take with me to fight them, as damage would be the best at dealing with them.

I want to hose Corpus Bank Accounts, and then escape while being chased down by the fastest and deadliest of their proxies, making parkour and mobility a mandatory counter.

I want to exterminate swarm after swarm of Infested, their numbers rising with each response, meaning I need to pack enough ammo and enough crowd control effects to counter them.

I want to solve complex puzzles and elaborate code set up by Cephalons, as I battle them in digital space, making hacking and problem solving a must.

I want to see the human colonies of Warframe in way that they have something I want, but I have to avoid their ragtag soldiers and technologies to get it, making stealth the prime counter.

I want the Sentient to challenge me to change in the middle of a fight, necessitating a quick and adapting strategy by equipping a variety of weapons with a variety of builds, making it feel as though I could be fighting another player.

Finally, I want the last remnants of the Orokin to challenge my mastery by throwing any combination of game-play at me, testing every last skill I had gained up until first stepping foot in the last of their creations.

There's already plenty of hints suggesting this is how it's supposed to be, with Corpus security systems and their affinity for Cold damage being designed to slow down a Tenno they are pursuing, Grineer having the most durable armor in the game, Infestation have the largest hordes even when all the factions pretty much use hordes, and the Orokin Towers possess mixes of game-play. I want to see each faction to focus on and support their intended game-play, instead of just be reskins of one another.

My prime Grineer and Corpus examples:

I don't want Stealth in Grineer Spy or Rescue; it should be like it was, where you would battle them to the objective tile and then hack and collect the datamass or release the hostage from their cell. Maybe put a really tough mini-boss as guards, like those Grineer Sisters from Tower Sabotage, but the general game-play of the Grineer would be to keep pushing forward, penetrating their armies like a spear.

Likewise, I don't want to just kill everything in a Corpus Exterminate. Things like Moas and Ospreys shouldn't count to the extermination, it should be about wiping out the Crewmen. It should be like a race, outrunning security proxies as they are dispatched to intercept you in order to prevent the death of the crew. Maybe some locations would be built with evacuation sites, so that if you're detected, the Crewmen in the region will try to escape, and if enough escape you'd fail the mission. Or Sabotage would be about striking the Jackal or Hyenas, saving Assassinations for actual assassinations. Once the deed is done, the place would go into a security alert, and the objective would be to get out while being pursued by fast and dangerous groups of Moas and Ospreys.

A long term goal, I understand, but it is why it's my biggest wish here.

New Thing

A summoner Warframe. I like playing Solo and I like RTS games, so fighting alongside a group of units that I can spawn and maintain would be awesome in Warframe, especially if executed so that it can be effective but not overpowered. And no unit timers; I hate when summoners spawn units that have a short lifetime meter. Minion duration should be health not time.

And no need spawning units with each power; maybe only one power could spawn a variety of units using a system similar to Ivara's quiver, with the rest of his abilities being dedicated to maintaining, upgrading, and supporting his units. I think the time is ripe for such a Warframe.
