Hull has been breached needs to be removed (Solo play)

When you have 10 enemeis shooting at you and you get this hull have been breached thing out of the blue and it is draining your shield and health every second. There is no way you can beat the cipher before you get shot to death.

Or finish everyone else before you shield runs out. This thing that constantly drains your life away is just stupid. Why does it not drain the grineer and corpus then? Why does this thing only affect the Tenno?

It does drain everyone's health including the Grineer and Corpus, I've seen them die like that quite a few times, not so sure if MOA or the flying robot thingies are affected. What's hardly noticeable is the health drain on tenno I think but if you've got really low shields, then I guess it could be a problem.

All that being said, I don't want that removed, even from solo. We need more things like that if anything, it adds more ambiance to the game.

If you think the room is a deathtrap because of the windows, don't go in there before you have made sure you can handle it. If you want to be supersure, destroy the windows from outside and hack it from the outside. Once the blast shields are down, the windows are safe.

There is no way you can beat the cipher before you get shot to death.

When i see i am about to enter a reinforced window room i shoot it myself from the outside. That way you get locked out from the other side and dont lose shields/hp. Its also useful to get rid of all the turrets and cameras. And also useful to solve the "Hack a Panel" secondary objective on Infested maps.

Edit : A bit slow :)

I don't know if it's just me but enemies are very polite. More often than not they let me hack in peace !

I've noticed that too, they seem to stop and leave me alone until i turn back around then they spring back into action, i think they dont like it when your not paying attention to them

I think it's fine as it is. I love the extra challenge and overcoming the slight panic of it to focus on killing as quickly as I can.

It's one of the few moments in the game that becomes truly challenging.

(I actually shoot the windows out on purpose if enough enemies are present).

Being able to breach the hull is AWESOME.

I've had several moments where it actually saved my life. (Running away from 2 napalm grineers with low health, ran out of a room with breakable windows, turned around and shot it, locking the napalm grineers in the room so that they couldn't chase after me)

That and it's a really cool effect.

A window getting blown out in the first mission I had run was what made me think to myself "I'm really going to like this game, aren't I?"

If one of those rooms is too crowded for me, I just blast out the windows and wait for everyone in that room to die.

Because it forces a lockdown on the ship, it also gives you time to recover from a really hectic mission. (Especially if you have a health regen artifact)

I also like that it can add danger to a situation. Getting careless and having an AI shoot out a window you're running by. Or you accidently setting off an explosive barrel near one of the windows.

Suddenly you're trapped in a room with a bunch of angry enemies and you have to take them out and hack the console before all your health drains away. (Usually you have lots of time because it doesn't drain very fast, but sometimes it's outright deadly. Also cipher tools can easily negate this situation entirely)

I solo play A LOT!

I learned to not fight near glass nd its rarely an issue.

When it does come up Ive learned how to goad enemies away from where i need to be...

or kill them if needed.

Generally speaking if Im already doing bad i may die but if im doing well it doesnt kill me.

Dude, I even break the glass and wait for them suffocate while I watch them die. Hell! I even killed a boss like this. I trapped the everest boss in a room and he just died! after 15 minutes though :P

well, I didnt sit and watch him die. I left. Alright, this is how it happened. I trapped him in the room with the elevator and glass, I am sure you know which Im talking about. I then broke the glass and used the elevator to go down. I recovered, but he was stock there, I then proceeded to read some news and even watched a video it was a TB Content Patch I beleive. When I came back he was dead. I looted his miserable body and then continued to the exit.

I was relieved knowing that he suffocated to death. As the world started to darken right before his bare eyes . . . muhaahahaha (Evil laught):

lol very evil indeed.. but couldn't you have just found another console, unlock the ship, run back quickly and finish him off...? Oh wait, you were stuck IN the elevator? Well, either way, good job I suppose, ahem.

Not stuck, the elevator was working perfectly fine. It still does if you check. I didnt want to risk him doing something. Sometimes i have seen them run for the console and disable it themselves. I didnt wanted to trigger that.

I'm kind of torn on the hull breach thing. I mean, logically, a Tenno in full armor shouldn't really care if there's air or not (I mean, seriously, who goes into combat on a spacecraft while NOT wearing full environmental armor?). Then again, I was disappointed when I shot out a window and then promptly tried to jump through it to a vacuumy death, and the game wouldn't let me. :)

Having characters near a window when it goes ought to blow them out into space. Situational awareness, Tenno! :D

You know the 1 thing that likes bothering me when I hack a console? Shockwave moa's... They wait till I'm just about to solve it then stomp the ground knocking me away from it so I have to start over lol...

♫ Trolololo lololo lololo... ♫ :)

You missed the big one. The Tenno normally ride on the outsides of their space horses. So why would they care if some kid broke the window with a baseball?

Well if you watch the end of mission thing closely you'll see that the thing we lock ourselves into actually closes around us, and pulls us deeper inside itself, so we are only exposed for a few seconds at most.

I really like the reinforced glass and hope they don't remove it. The game should have more of these interesting environment things!

When I don't force the glass to break as others have mentioned, I like the tension it creates, making sure I don't shoot it by mistake (snipetron seems to pierce enemy heads when I headshot and then break the glass in one shot). I now shoot for the neck to get crits without piercing. :)
