Do you like it? Then yes. Is the Dera Vandal something most would consider "end game," no. I don't have it, but I would most likely stick a tato and some forma into it because I found the Dera fun.

if you're concerned about performance against very high Level Enemies - ALL Automatic 'Assault Rifle/LMG' Type Weapons will feel poopy up at those Levels.

 

Dera can easily get Weakpoint shots though, which will help it perform against higher Level Enemies.

if only had decent damage, but is one of my favorite weapons, it looks like a star wars rifle, it shoots lasers, is better than supra, it looks cool, but damn son, that low damage...

Also any time somebody asks "Is it good?", the question must be made first, "What level are you talking about?".

 

With a base burst DPS of 350 and 15% status chance, it comes quite close to the performance of the Braton Prime and Burston Prime. Which are not bad weapons at all, and with proper elements should be able to handle themselves well even in the sortie against level 100 enemies.  Beyond that....forget it.

 

Basically any level where you actually NEED to fight, as opposed to subjecting yourself to pointless masochism in 4-hour survival missions, Dera Vandal will serve you well.  If you want a gun for 4-hour survivals, this isn't it.
