Decent Melee Vs Corpus

Title really says it all, im only MR 4 and the corpus have been giving me some issues. Im using the tonbo for everything non-corpus. Without having a decent melee to fight them off ive been staying away from corpus missions. 

Any help would be appreciated.

any weapon works against anything, you just need the right mods for your melee.

 

create magnetic using electric and ice and you can completely eliminate enemy shields and use toxin to deal dmg directly to their hp

Kestrel.  Grab the Entropy mod when you can, free energy, magnetic AoE, and whirlwind all in one.  Mod it for toxin only and it'll handle nullies quite nicely.

Tonbo is more than fine vs Corpus.

your Mods will generally make a larger impact than the Weapon. choose something that you like and put on the appropriate Damage Types.

 

for Corpus, all viable combinations of Elemental Damage are:

Magnetic + Toxin

Blast + Toxin

Blast + Electricity

Viral + Electricity

Viral + Fire

Radiation + Toxin

Radiation + Ice

 

until you're well established as a Player, i'd recommend having Toxin at all times, and then add Magnetic. you can expand your horizons once you have more Mod choices that can make certain Damage Types effective in different ways.
