LazerusKI
The first thing i thought about as my snipetron hit the glas was "hay, maybe the enemys will be sucked out" but nothing,...only a little bit of damage. boring wouldnt it be cool if you could destroy the glass to kill nearby enemys with the vacuum of space? sure it would be risky for us too, but maybe you could implement something like a move pattern where you can grab the wall to climb back in, or you have to use crouch so that you wont get sucked out. GIMO
If the enemies could get instantly sucked out, it'd be fair for it to happen to us too... which isn't a good idea because it could lead to a long stream of instant game overs... I'd say there's a fair amount of tension with the steady decrease in shields/health if you're in a situation where you haave to deal with a lot of enemies. Not to say this is a bad idea, i like it. I just don't know how well it would work. Edited January 21, 2013 by GIMO
Ced23Ric
wouldnt it be cool if you could destroy the glass to kill nearby enemys with the vacuum of space? You can. It causes lockdowns and stuff.
LazerusKI
how can i kill them then? we would take damage too,

V1RTU5
yep make sure ur outside the door and snipe the glass. several min.s later they are all dead
Spiffmeister
Make it so you have to hold onto something or climb/struggle towards the console to lockdown the area before the airs gone.
LazerusKI
another way would be something like an auto-shutdown. yo udestroy the glass, everything is sucked out, some enemys and you can manage to grab something, and a few seconds later the steelwall closes
Arcalane
The Reinforced Glass has really, really high damage reduction, and thus either completely ignores physical damage or reduces it to zero. It should still take elemental and AP damage as normal, as a high-level Lex can oneshot the glass. What I find most amusing about the depressurization issues is that the Corpus all take damage from it. The crewmen with their big bulky suits that are surely vacuum-sealed? Yup. Mechanical Moas and Ospreys? Yup. Hell, I think it even kills cameras. Still, aside from the fact it lasts forever (given the size of most rooms the 'wind' effect should probably only last a few seconds at best) it's a fun mechanic. Ed: Fixed a typo. Me spel gud wen tired. Edited January 23, 2013 by Arcalane

Making it so that the Coprus don't take damage from being in a vacuum would be a fairly good idea. Also speaking of taking damage while in a vacuum, why don't enemies go for the panel too? I mean that seems like it would be simiple logic to do something like that. And as to why people don't get sucked out the window? I think it has to do with artifical gravity, so yeah I don't think we will see getting sucked out into space as a game machanic. Ryme
It's more confusing why non-organic enemies like Corpus walkers and drones take damage.
LazerusKI
maybe they take damage because the electronics will freeze? space is very very cold^^ this one made me think I've never noticed this before, but why would Tenno care about depressurization? Afterall, they do ride on the outside of their ship when the escape. its true, they ride the ship in outer space, but they wil ltake damage from it if the glass is broken? V1RTU5
i think its less about the "vacume of space" more so as all the debree being sucked out cutting away at your suit
Qeveren
maybe they take damage because the electronics will freeze? space is very very cold^^ Actually, overheating is your bigger concern in space. It may be 'cold', but vacuum is an amazing thermal insulator. :) I can see the corpus crewmen taking decompression damage, since they seem to be cyborgs of some sort (and full of red jelly, so my Cronus tells me). The rest of the bots, not so much. :)
