Which pistol is the best? Can't decide..

Actually speaking from personal experiences Sicarus is quite a lot better than Burston. Faster fire rate, more damage, more accuracy. Great all-rounder between sniping Lex and in your face Bronco.

Guys, the Lex is like a pocket snipetron. Don't underestimate it. I have it on pierce, freeze and armor pen damage, I can hold off even infested if I line up my shots.

I enjoy my Lex plenty.

But for me with a toggle macro, Aklato is just as accurate (both are pinpoint) with no recoil whatsoever (I don't know why it's like this but if you hipfire it has no recoil), so it's vastly superior to the lex. I mean 4-5 shots from my Aklato does the same damage as one headshot from the Lex. I like the handcannon feel of it, but in terms of effectiveness, the Aklato is much better in terms of damage per second, and just as easy if not easier to aim due to the lack of recoil when hipfiring and minimal recoil when ADSing.

Nobody mentioned the Sicarus? Definately a favorite, 3 round burst of decent damage especially with electricity, STUN INC

Honestly my Sicarus is really good, I don't know why people underestimate it. There is much less of a delay between shots compared to a Burston, and it can easily get up to an 18 or 21 round clip, allowing for several bursts before having to reload (which is also relatively quick). It's not the best at sustained DPS, but with an Armor-Piericing mod, you can kill high-level Corpus crewmen with like 2 bursts.

I'm a big fan of it and wish it was a tiny bit different and there's really no reason to use it over Aklato but I like it anyway.

if i could get dual Lex that'd be my choice at this point. my aklato are sweet, but so are my afuris. aklato precision, afuris bangbang. i prefer aklato soloing and afuris in teams. haven't tried sicarus or bronco.

afuris mods: (currently lvl 25, not pro=only 3 mods)

elec

armor pc

Yeah, I haven't gotten to try all of the sidearms, but so far Aklato with a toggle macro is my favorite. I think I honestly prefer using them over most, if not all, of my weapons.

Afuris and Bolto are fun. Sicarus was by far the most disappointing purchase I have made.

Pick a weapon based on what you want to do with it or what you need it to do..

Lex is a sniper weapon. It is 100% accurate and hits fairly hard. The down side is that it is slow; it shoots slow, it reloads slow. This is not a run n' gun weapon or a backup weapon you want to be stuck with when you run out of ammo for your primary. This is a precision tool for people who have the time to sit back and line up shots at their own pace.

Sicarius is a faster version of the Burston that doesn't have the awkward pause between shots. The clip size is a bit small in comparison and the reload could be faster, but that could easily address itself once all the ungrade slots are unlocked. The main problem with this gun is the same as that of the Afuris; it eats through ammo very quickly. You will want to devote at least one mod slot to increases max ammo if you go with this gun.

Bolto/Akbolto ignores armor. You can kill anything by hitting them anywhere with this line. And when they die, they fly off and are pinned to a wall. The down side is that shots are not lined up properly with the reticle. After looking at people using these guns, I've noticed that the shots actually fly out of their stomach and not the gun itself. It can be hard to line up shots, but once you figure out where the shots are going, they all go to the same place. The main deterent of this weapon family is that the shots have visible travel time, and it can be hard to hit a target that is moving or changing position constantly. You can compensate for this by putting a freezing damage mod on, as that will slow down enemies and make it easier to hit them with your slow projectiles.

The last gun I would recommend is the Bronco. But you've already tried that so there's no need to explain it.
