Weapon Concept - Pump Action Tenno-Style Shotgun

I think the only difficult part about trying to make a concept for a shotgun is to figure out which faction makes the shotgun. Obviously, the Tenno are pretty outclassed when it comes to variety of shotguns, so they get it.

 

When trying to concept this, I was in no way trying to draw it, so I decided to find multiple images of what it would look like, with the words "Simplicity" and "Sleek" in design.

Now then, this isn't going to be your ordinary pump-action shotgun. It has to be reliable against all factions, just for the right time at the right place

CODEX ENTRY:

The perfect pump-action shotgun, capable of changing shells on the spot to increase its deadliness against any faction.

 

DAMAGE STATISTICS:

600 total damage

 

200 Impact

200 Puncture

200 Slash

10 Accuracy

20% Crit Chance

2.4x Crit Multiplier

15% Status Chance

10 Mag capacity

100 Max ammo 

1.5 rounds/sec

4 sec reload time

Pellet Count: ???(determined by shell type)

Range: ???(determined by shell type

 

Now then, then fun part is when you are allowed to choose from multiple shotgun rounds on the spot, which as follows:

 

Slug rounds: Increases accuracy to 15, projectile-based, only one pellet with 1.0 meter punch-through, and splits 100% of Slash damage into Puncture and Impact. Range is converted into 35 meters.

 

Explosive rounds: Decreases accuracy to 8, hitscan-based, pellets changed to 8 and explode on impact, and splits 100% of Puncture damage into Slash and Impact. Range is converted into 12 meters.

 

Flechette rounds: Increases accuracy to 12, projectile-based, pellets changed to 15 with 1.0 meter punch-through, and splits 100% of Impact damage into Slash and Puncture. Range is converted to 25.

 

Default rounds: Pellets changed to 12. Range is 20 meters.

 

I'm pretty sure the first thing people are gonna say is "POWER CREEP ALL THE WAY!", however the stats are more than likely gonna change, depending on other people's opinions. This is just an attempt to create a Jack-of-all trades shotgun, where the damage and stats are decent, but is in no way superior to the rest.

A middle of the road damage model is pretty much never a good thing unless you're brand new to the game. 200 in each type isn't very good.
10 Accuracy? That's not a shotgun, that's a sniper rifle. For reference, the Sancti Tigris has an accuracy of 6.5 and the Strun Wraith has an accuracy of 4.2.

 

2 Rounds a second? Are you mad? Is this a pump-action or not?

 

2.2 is an odd crit multiplier for what is only a mediocre crit chance.

 

Also, unless Ammo 2.0 is introduced, you're not going to touch on the max ammo cap.

 

And why is pellet count "???"? Just do some math. Figure out the damage profile you're looking for in comparison to other shotguns and figure out the number of pellets you need in order to balance out the ideal base damage.
